A RESOLUTION FIXING THE EMPLOYER'S
CONTRIBUTION UNDER THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES'
MEDICAL AND HOSPITAL CARE ACT FOR THE
EL SEGUNDO FIREFIGHTERS'ASS OCIATION.
The City Council of the City of El Segundo does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council finds as follows:
A. Government Code § 22892(a) provides that a local agency contracting under the Public
Employees' Medical and Hospital Care Act shall fix the amount of the employer's
contribution at an amount not less than the amount required under Section 22892 (b)(1) of
the Act, and
B. The City of El Segundo, hereinafter referred to as Public Agency is local agency
contracting under the Act for participation by members of the El Segundo Firefighters'
Association.
SECTION 2: The Employer's contribution for each employee or annuitant shall be the amount
necessary to pay the full cost of his/her enrollment, including the enrollment of his/her family
members, in a health benefits plan up to a maximum of$1,500 per month,plus administrative fees
and Contingency Reserve Fund Assessments for the medical insurance coverage period of
January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019.
SI-`C-l1ON-..,3: The Employer's contribution for each employee or annuitant shall be the amount
necessary to pay the full cost of his/her enrollment, including the enrollment of his/her family
members, in a health benefits plan up to a maximum of$1,575 per month,plus administrative fees
and Contingency Reserve Fund Assessments for the medical insurance coverage period of
January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
SE(ITION 4: The Employer's contribution for each employee or annuitant shall be the amount
necessary to pay the full cost of his/her enrollment, including the enrollment of his/her family
members, in a health benefits plan up to a maximum of$1,650 per month,plus administrative fees
and Contingency Reserve Fund Assessments for the medical insurance coverage period of
January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021.
SECTION 5: The City of El Segundo has fully complied with any and all applicable provisions
of Government Code Section 7507 in electing the benefits set forth above.
Sl:'CTION 6: The City Clerk is directed to certify the Passage and Adoption of this Resolution;
enter same in the Book of Original Resolutions; and make a Minute of its adoption in the City's
records and in the Minutes of the meeting when it was adopted.
SECTION 7: Under Government Code § 22892, this Resolution will become effective
January 1, 2019 and will remain effective unless repealed or superseded.
