THIRD AMENDMENT TO
AGREEMENT NO. 4637 BETWEEN
THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO AND
GENERAL LIGHTING AND ELECTRIC,INC.
THIS THIRD AMENDMENT ("Amendment") is made and entered into this 13th day of
September, 2016, by and between the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a general law city and municipal
corporation existing under the laws of California ("CITY"), and GENERAL LIGHTING AND
ELECTRIC, INC., a California corporation("CONTRACTOR").
1. In addition to the amount set forth in Section 2 of the Agreement, the CITY agrees to
pay CONTRACTOR an additional sum not to exceed nine thousand six hundred nine
dollars and fifteen cents ($9,609.15) for CONTRACTOR'S services, for the increased
scope specified in the attached Exhibit"A"which is incorporated by reference.
2. This Amendment may be executed in any number or counterparts, each of which will be
an original,but all of which together constitutes one instrument executed on the same
date.
3. Except as modified by this Amendment, all other terms and conditions of Agreement
No. 4637 remain the same.

Exhibit A
Scope of Work for
Grand Avenue/Richmond Street Electrical Work
The Contractor shall provide cost estimates for the following Work in accordance with the terms
and conditions of the Agreement:

• All labor,materials,and tools needed to relocate existing electrical conduit in the Grand
Avenue/Richmond Street intersection planters to accommodate the street improvements
being made.
• Prepare and protect all areas within the project scope from damage.
• Dispose of all construction debris in accordance with applicable law and environmental
regulations.
• Work shall be completed as soon as required to accommodate Richmond Street contractor's
construction activities.
General Scone
• Contractor's Lump Sum bid shall provide for all materials,equipment,tools,labor,and
incidentals required to entirely complete the project to the City's satisfaction.
• Work is to be performed by personnel with the proper certifications for the construction.
• Work shall occur on Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm.
• Repair/replace any City property damaged during the project to City satisfaction.
• Adhere to requirements of City agreement. Prevailing wages are applicable and shall be
included in the bids.
• Adhere to SB 854 requirements as necessary. Information is available at
• Bids over$25,000 require a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond upon award.
• Bids over$45,000 shall also be accompanied by a 10%Bid Bond upon bid submittal.
• Contractor shall provide proof of required insurance endorsements and business license
upon award.
• Contractor shall obtain a No-fee Public Works Encroachment Permit prior to beginning
construction.
• Contractor shall provide City staff at least forty-eight(48)hours to answer Requests for
Information or change order requests.
• Contractor shall not proceed with any construction for which a change order request has
been made until a Change Order Agreement has been completed.
• Five percent of the bid amount will be retained until all punch list items are completed on
the project and all permits are signed off.

We furnished all labor,materials and tools as needed to relocate 2 existing
11x17 electrical enclosures to their new locations.We also installed a new supplied
11x17 electrical enclosure for exposed conduit and ran electrical stub ups for future
landscape lighting and receptacles.
Cost as of 8/16/2016 is:

Sales Tax $ 174.15
Total $9.609.15
We will submit a separate proposal to complete the job.
