CONCLUSION:
Why should Ci of El Segundo consider HCI?
i. HIGH QUALITY PLAN CHECK and FULLY EQUIPPED TO HANDLE
LARGE COMPLEX PROJECTS: HCI has qualified plan checkers who
r gjgdy update their knowledge of codes. It has been HCI's proud privilege to
be asked by jurisdictions to review plan checks performed by others (including
`Big -Name' consultants) where we found serious mistakes /omissions. In one
instance a consulting company plan checked and approved 11 dead -end corridors in
a high rise office building. In another instance use of residential sprinklers was
approved for a hotel project even after sprinklers were used for building area
increase.
ii. FAST TURN AROUND: Our turnaround is the fastest in the industry.
iii. VERY COST EFFECTIVE: The City and community of El Segundo will see
cost savings as a result of our low fee structure.
At HCI we are strongly committed to customer service and will take all necessary measures to
ensure professional and high quality Building Plan Review, Inspection and Permit Technician
services to the full satisfaction of the City of El Segundo. We are very confident that if again
given the opportunity to serve City of El Segundo, we will live up to your expectations and
fully comply with your contractual standards and regulations.

WELDING MSPECTION KNOWLEDGE AND E, ERTISE
Mr. Bangert completed a two -year technical Welding / Metallurgy Technology program at Cuesta
College. The curriculum focused on educational as well as hands on practicum experience, examining physical
properties of ferrous and non - ferrous materials, testing design, material failure analysis and the joining and
solidification processes.
Mr. Bangert's certification pre - qualification included performance and procedure qualification,
workmanship, techniques and product inspection. His studies provided a solid basis for standard inspection
procedures in a shop environment as well as field application implementing for non - destructive evaluation
systems for quality control such -as radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, penetrates and eddy current. In
addition, the course work reviewed and clarified code requirements and the proper methods for installation of
fastener assemblies in structural steel connections. Following completion of the curriculum, Mr. Bangert gained
an intricate understanding of designated installation and an ability to perform pre - installation testing, in order to
accurately conduct visual inspection of precision joints.
