Mr. Bangert's certification pre - qualification included performance and procedure qualification, workmanship, techniques and product inspection. His studies provided a solid basis for standard inspection procedures in a shop environment as well as field application implementing for non - destructive evaluation systems for quality control such -as radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, penetrates and eddy current. In addition, the course work reviewed and clarified code requirements and the proper methods for installation of fastener assemblies in structural steel connections. Following completion of the curriculum, Mr. Bangert gained an intricate understanding of designated installation and an ability to perform pre - installation testing, in order to accurately conduct visual inspection of precision joints.
