151BUILDING SAFETY DIVISION:
1. Before building permits are issued, plans must show conformance with the
2001 California Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Fire, Plumbing, and Energy
Codes with El Segundo Amendments.
2. 5% of all seating must be accessible as per Chapter 11 B in all three areas,
including booths and bar area. Identify on the plans which seats are
handicap accessible.
3. A minimum 48" clear space is required in front of the toilet inside the ADA
restroom.
4. Before building permits are issued, plans will be reviewed for accessibility
requirements per Chapter 11 of the 2001 California Building Code. All aisle
widths must comply with Section 1004.3.2.
5. Before building permits are issued, plans must show a 9' by 18' handicap
accessible parking space with an 8' wide loading area. The parking space
must also display a sign with the ADA logo.
The comments are provided as information for the applicant. A general requirement
to comply with the Building and Fire codes are included in the conditional approval.
