NONE Operating Budget Amount Requested, Account Number- Project Phase- Appropriation Required. -Yes _ No ORIGINATED BY DATE- RESOLUTION NO. 4258 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD APRIL 9, 2002. The City Council of the city of El Segundo does resolve as follows. SECTION 1 The City Council finds and declares as follows A. A General Municipal Election was held in the City of El Segundo on Tuesday, April 9, 2002, as required by law, B. Notice of the election was given in the manner provided by law, C Voting precincts were properly established, election officers were appointed, votes were cast, votes were received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in the time and manner required by the Elections Code for holding elections in general law cities; D. Pursuant to Resolution No 4233 (adopted November 7, 2001), the City Clerk canvassed the returns of the election and certified the results to the City Council These results are attached as Exhibit "A," received and incorporated by reference SECTION 2 The whole number of ballots cast in the precincts, except absent voter ballots and provisional ballots, was 1853 The number of absent voter ballots cast in the City was 685, the whole number of provisional ballots cast in the City was 75 making a total of 2613 ballots cast in the City.
