RECITALS A. By grant dated August 29, 1949, and recorded in Book 31131, Page 217 of Official Records, records of Los Angeles County, California, Standard did grant to City a right of way and easement for a water line affecting a portion of Lot 2, Section 19, Township 3 South, Range 14 West, S. B. B. & M., in the Rancho Sausal Redondo, as more fully set forth in said grant dated August 29, 1949. B. By grant dated May 10, 1950, and recorded May 22, 1950 in Book 33192, Page 378 of Official Records, records of said County, City was granted an easement and right of way for water line purposes by EL SEGUNDO LAND AND IMPROVEMENT COMPANY, predecessor in interest of Standard, affecting a portion of Section 18, Township 3 South, Range 14 West, S. B. B. & M. , in the Rancho Sausal Redondo, as more fully set forth in said grant dated May 10, 1950. C. ' The parties hereto desire to change portions of the descrip- tions and conditions set forth in said grants dated August 29, 1949 and May 10, 1950. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the recitals and the mutual undertakings and obligations of the parties hereto as hereinafter set out, City and Standard agree as follows: 1. The description in said grant dated August 29, 1949 which reads as follows: A portion of Lot 2, Section 19, Township 3 South, Range 14 West, S. B. B. & M., as shown on Partition Map showing property formerly of the Redondo Land Company, as per Recorders File Gr Map No. 140 on file in the office of the County Recorder of Los 0;_ Angeles County. G' sKM1999PQ771* The route along which said pipe line is to be laid is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the southerly line of said Lot 2, said point being 15 feet West measured at right angles from the easterly line of said Lot 2; thence northerly parallel with and 15 feet West measured at right angles from said easterly line, to the northerly line of said Lot 2, shall be, and the same is hereby changed to read as follows: A portion of Lot 2, Section 19, Township 3 South, Range 14 West, in the Rancho Sausal Redondo, as shown on Partition Map showing property formerly of the Redondo Land Company, per Recorder's File Map No. 140 on file in the office of the County Recorder of said County, said portion being a strip of land twenty (20) feet wide the westerly line of which is described as follows: Beginning at a point in the northerly line of said section, distant thereon North 890 571 40" West 1348. 37 feet from the Northeast corner of said section; thence South 0° 00' 10" West 2642. 62 feet, more or less, to a point in the center line of Marine Avenue, 60 feet wide, as shown on a map of Tract 17760, recorded in Book 435, Pages 18, 19 and 20 of Maps, records of said Country, said point being distant along said center line North 89° 531 42' West 29. 50 feet from the center line of Redondo Ave- nue, as shown on said Map of Tract 17760. 2. Those paragraphs in said grant dated August 29, 1949 which read as follows: Whenever, in the opinion of Grantor, said pipe line interferes with Grantor's use of or operations upon the premises, Grantee shall, at its own expense and risk, within sixty (60) days after written request therefor by Grantor, lower or relocate and recon- struct said pipe line upon and across said premises to the depth or along the route specified by Grantor in such request, and shall re- store said premises as nearly as possible to the same state and condi- tion they were in prior to the lowering or prior to the reconstructing of said pipe line, as the case may be. Grantee and its employees and agents, at any and all times when necessary, shall have free access to the said pipe line, over such reasonable route as Grantor may designate or approve, for the purpose of exercising the rights hereby granted, shall be and the same are hereby declared null and void and of no further force or effect. 3.
