V029a3r'0 RESOLUTION NO.. 1365 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE VACATION OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF COAST BOULEVARD, WITHIN SAID CITY, AS CONTEMPLATED BY RESOLUTION OF INTENTION j< NO. 1353 OF SAID CITY COUNCIL ADOPTED ON THE 23RD DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1953• „. The City Council of the City of,El Segundo, Cali- fornia, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941 ", being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve., declare, find, determine and'order as follows: SECTION 1. Said City Council, after public hearing duly and regularly called, noticed and held, finds and de- termines from all the evidence submitted, that that portion of Coast Boulevard within said City described in Resolution of Intention No. 1353 of said City Council, adopted by said City Council on the 23rd day of September, 1953, is unneces- sary for present or prospective public street purposes. SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience require, and it is hereby ordered that the following portion of the following public street within the said City, to wit: That portion of Coast Boulevard, a part of which is designated as Coast Boulevard in that certain deed, dated October 20, 1916, and recorded in Book 63$$, page 49, of Deeds, in the office of the County Re- corder of Los Angeles County, California, a part of which is shown as The Strand on a map of Tract No. 3303, recorded in Book 36, page 14, of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, and a part of which is shown as Lot 37 on a map of Tract No. 2356, recorded in Book 2$, pages 41 and 42 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, which extends from the hereinafter described Line A. Reference is hereby made to said Resolution of In- tention No. 1353 and to the-map or plan entitled, "MAP SHOW- ING PORTION OF COAST BOULEVARD PROPOSED TO BE VACATED UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1353 AND THE RELOCATION THEREOF. ", referred to therein, both of which are on file and open to public inspection in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall of said City, in said City, and both of which, by this reference, are incorporated herein and made a part hereof for further particulars, said portion of said Coast Boulevard so vacated being shown in yellow color upon said map. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said City; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the re- cords and proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested by the City Clerk under the seal of said City, to be recorded in the of- fice of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, State of California. (e) In further consideration of the vacation and abandonment of said above described portion of Coast Boulevard, your petitioner will further undertake to construct a roadway over said easements for public street purposes and to the extent deemed necessary to relocate or arrange for the relocation of any existing underground facilities affecting said street in its present or in its relocated position, all without any expense to the City of El Segundo and in accordance with the specifica- tions of said City for streets of the same class; (f) In consideration of the vacation and abandonment of the above described street, your petitioner will further under take that the public use thereof in its present location will not be interfered with in any way unless and until the dedication of said new public street to public use shall have been accepted by your Honorable Body; and (g) Upon the opening of said new public street for public use, said above described portions of Coast Boulevard will no longer be required for public use.
