CONSENT TO EASEMENT
FOR DECELERATION LANE - ROSECRANS AVENUE

STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA, a corporation, hereinafter
referred to as ompany," does hereby consent to the grant by the owner or
owners of record of the real property hereinafter described to the CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, hereinafter referred to as "City," of an easement or easements
for a deceleration lane in, on, over, along, and across that certain real
property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as
follows:
That parcel of land in Section 18, Township 3 South,
Range 14 West, in the Rancho Sausal Redondo, in the City
of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
as shown on the map filed in Los Angeles County Superior
Court Case No. 11629 on June 21, 1890, a copy of which
map appears in the files of the County Surveyor of said
County, as Clerk's Filed Map No. 218, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the North line of the South 50 feet,
measured at right angles, of said Section 18, which point
is the southeasterly corner of the land described in deed
to Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., recorded July 5, 1968,
as instrument No. 387, in Book D -4055, Page 968 of Official
Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said
County; thence, South 890 57' 34" East, along said North
line, 238.00 feet; thence leaving said North line north-
westerly along a tangent curve, concave northeasterly and
having a radius of 197.00 feet, through a central angle of
12° 40' 49 ". an arc distance of 43.60 feet to the beginning
of a reverse curve, concave southwesterly and having a
radius of 213.00 feet; thence northwesterly along said
reverse curve through a central angle of 12° 40' 49 ", an
arc distance of 47.14 feet to the North line of the
South 60 feet, measured at right angles, of said Section 18;
thence North 890 57' 34" West, along said last mentioned
North line, and tangent to said last mentioned curve, 148.00
feet to the East line of said land of Air Products and
Chemicals, Inc., thence South 00 02' 26" West, along said
East line, 10.00 feet to the point of beginning.
The aforesaid consent is granted subject to the interest of
"Company" in said real property by virtue of that certain agreement dated
December 14, 1960, recorded December 20, 1960, in Book D -1069, Page 898 of
Official Records of said County.
But "Company" does hereby agree that "City" shall have the right to
use the above described real property for a deceleration lane, under and by

virtue of any easement or easements granted for such purpose, subject
to and reserving the prior rights of "Company "; and "City ", by the
acceptance of this instrument, agrees to hold harmless and indemnify
"Company," its successors and assigns, from and against all damage to
the equipment and facilities of "Company' caused by, or resulting from,
improvements or installation made by "City" upon the above- described
property. and to pay to "Company," its successors and assigns any and

veyed by the deed or grant dated May 2, 1973 , from

by order of the City Council on August 7 , 197 3 and the grantee
consents to recordation thereof by its duly authorized officer.
