STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA, a corporation, hereinafter called
"Grantor ", hereby grants to THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO) a municipal corporation,
hereinafter called "City ", upon the limitation hereinafter set forth, an
easement for a public highway over that certain real property in the County
of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows:
That portion of the Southwest quarter of Section 7,
Township 3 South, Range 14 West, in the Rancho Sausal Redondo,
in the City of El Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, as per map recorded in Book 1, Pages 507 and 508
of Patents, in the office of the County Recorder of said
County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the South line of said Section 7,
distant thereon South 890 551 25" East 1598.40 feet from the
Southwest corner of said Section 7; thence North 0° 04' 35" East
1120.10 feet; thence South 89° 551 25" East 60.00 feet; thence
South 0° 04' 35" West 73.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent
curve concave southeasterly and having a radius of 20.00 feet;
thence northeasterly along said curve, through a central angle
of 90° 001 00 ", an arc distance of 31.42 feet; thence tangent
to said curve, South 89° 551 25" East 70.00 feet to the
beginning of a tangent curve concave northerly having a radius
of 1053 feet; thence easterly, along said curve, through a
central angle of 11° 191 22" an arc distance of 208.09 feet to
a point designated as Point A for purposes of this description;
thence tangent to said curve, North 780 451 13" East 197.08
feet to the easterly line of the land described in Parcel 1 of
the deed to Sepulveda Properties, Inc., recorded on June 30,
1969, as Instrument No. 759, in Book D 4419, Page 266 of
Official Records of said County and the true point of beginning
for this description; thence continuing North 780 451 13" East
210.24 feet to a point distant North 78° 45' 13" East 407.32
feet from said Point A, also being the beginning of a tangent
curve concave southerly having a radius of 947 feet; thence
easterly along said curve, through a central angle of
11° 191 22" an are distance of 187.15 feet; thence tangent
to said curve, South 890 551 25" East 30.10 feet to the
beginning of a tangent curve concave southwesterly, having a
radius of 20.00 feet and being tangent at its southeasterly

thence along said parallel line, North 89° 55' 25" West
99.92 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave
southerly having a radius of 1053.00 feet and being concentric
with that certain curve hereinbefore described as having a
radius of 947.00 feet; thence westerly along said concentric
curve, through a central angle of 11° 19' 22 ", an arc distance
of 208.09 feet; thence tangent to said curve, South 780 45' 13" West
189.17 feet to said easterly line of the land described in Parcel 1
of the deed to Sepulveda Properties, Inc.; thence along said
easterly line, South 0° 00' 20" East to the true point of beginning.
Excepting and reserving unto Grantor, its successors and assigns, for
its and their benefit and the benefit of its and their present and future
subsidiaries and their respective successors and assigns, the right at any
time and from time to time, and at any place or places, to lay, construct,
reconstruct, replace, renew, repair, maintain, operate, change the size of,
increase the number of and remove pipelines, and appurtenances thereof, for
the transportation of oil, petroleum, gas, gasoline, water or other substances,
and to construct, maintain, operate, repair, renew, add to and remove under-
ground wires, conductors, cables and conduits, and appurentances thereof,
over, under, along and across said parcel (but in such manner as not to
interfere unnecessarily with the use of said easement for road purposes);
and City expressly covenants that the rights so reserved may be so exercised
during all the time said easement is used as a public highway, subject only
to reasonable regulation by the proper authorities.
This grant of easement is given and made for so long as said real
property shall be used continuously for a public highway and said easement
shall terminate without further act by Grantor or its successors and assigns,

upon the cessation of such use for a period of six (6) months.
This grant of easement is given subject to all valid and existing ov
licenses, leases, grants, exceptions and reservations affecting said premises,

but more particularly subject to the exceptions, reservations, limitations CAD
and covenants hereinbefore made, and each of them.
