corporation, hereinafter called "Grantor ", does hereby grant to
the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, hereinafter called "Grantee ", an ease-
ment for public road and highway purposes over and across that
certain real property in the County of Los Angeles, State of
California, described as follows:
PARCEL A
That portion of Lot 13 shown on Map No. 8
of Property of Southern California Edison Com-
pany, Ltd., recorded in Book 31 Page 5, of
Official Maps, in the office of the Recorder of
the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of said
Lot 13; thence westerly along the South line of
said Lot to the East line of Sepulveda Boule-
vard as established by Final Decree of Condem-
nation entered on December 4 1934 in Case No.
357580, in the Superior Court of tie State of
California, in and for said County, as record-
ed in Book 13174, Page 92, of Official Records
in the office of said Recorder; thence north -
erly along said East line 30.00 feet to the true
point of beginning which is a point in the North
line of E1 Segundo Boulevard, 100.00 feet in
width; thence continuing northerly along said
East line 60.00 feet; thence southeasterly in
a direct line to the point of intersection of
said North line of E1 Segundo Boulevard with
the northeasterly line of said Lot 13; thence
westerly along said North line to the true point
of beginning;
EXCEPTING therefrom that portion granted
to the City of E1 Segundo by Document 3092, recorded
February 26, 1953, in Book 41067, Page 370 of
Official Records, in the office of said Recorder.

pany, Ltd., recorded in Book 3, Page 5, of

lying within the following described parcel:

easterly boundary of said Lot 12 with the south-
erly line of E1 Segundo Boulevard (100.00 feet
wide), said southerly line lying parallel to and

erly along said southerly line to the point of
beginning.
SUBJECT to the following; -
1. That certain license for pipe line purposes
as conveyed to Standard Oil Company of
California by an instrument dated April 10,
1936.
2. That certain license for pipe line purposes
as conveyed to Richfield Oil Corporation by
an instrument dated July 23, 1937, and sub-
sequently assigned to Standard Oil Company
of California on March 18, 1947.
3. That certain license for pipe line purposes
conveyed to Richfield Oil Corporation dated
May 17, 1938, and subsequently assigned to
Standard Oil Company of California on March
18, 1947.
4. That certain license for pipe line purposes
conveyed to The Ohio Oil Company by an
instrument dated December 31, 1938, and sub-
sequently assigned to Standard Oil Company
of California, on May 28, 1943.
5. That certain easement for pipe line ppurposes
granted to Shell Oil Company, Inc., by instru-
ment dated June 24, 19410
6. That certain pole line license conveyed to
Shell Oil Company, Inc., dated December 20,
1944.
7. That certain ipe line license conveyed to
Standard Oil Company of California, dated
October 13, 1948.
8. That certain agricultural license conveyed
to Lemuel F. Blackburn, dated December 1, 1955.

9. That certain license for pipe line purposes
conveyed to Standard Oil Company of California,
by an instrument dated February 26, 1952.
10. That certain license for pipe line purposes
conveyed to Richfield Oil Company by an instru-
ment dated October 20, 1953.
11. That certain license for pipe line purposes
conveyed to Standard Oil Company, by an instru-
ment dated April 20, 1954.
Conditions, restrictions, reservations, except-
ions, encumbrances, rights and easements affect-
ing the above described property whether of
record or not including but not limited to those
herein referred to.
The aforesaid easement is granted subject to all other
easements, rights, leases, licenses and encumbrances, whether of
record or not, affecting the above described real property or any
portion thereof, and subject also to the right of said Grantor,
its successors and assigns, to construct, maintain, use, operate,
alter, add to, repair, replace, reconstruct and /or remove in, on,
over, under, through, along and across the above described real
property, electric transmission and distribution lines and tele-
phone lines, together with supporting structures and appurten-
ances, for conveying electric energy for light, heat, power and
telephone purposes, and pipe lines and appurtenances, for the
transportion of oil, petroleum, gas, water or other substances;
and said easement for public road and highway purposes shall be
so exercised as not to interfere with the construction, mainten-
ance, use, operation, presence, repair, replacement, relocation,
reconstruction or removal of such electric transmission, distri-
bution or telephone lines or pipe lines,.and the said Grantee,
by the acceptance of this instrument, agrees to hold harmless an
indemnify said Grantor, its successors and assigns, from and
against all damage to such electric transmission, distribution
and telephone lines and supporting structures and appurtenances
and pipe lines and appurtenances, by reason of the construction,
reconstruction and /or maintenance of said public road or highway

and to pay to said Grantor, its successors or assigns, upon
demand, any and all costs of relocation and /or reconstruction
of such electric transmission, distribution and telephone lines
and supporting structures and pipe lines which may be or become
necessary by reason of the construction, reconstruction and /or
maintenance of said public road or highway.
Said Grantor reserves for itself, its successors and
assigns, the right to trim any tree or trees which may grow in
said public road or highway, and which in the opinion of said
Grantor, its successors or assigns, endanger or interfere with
the proper operation or maintenance of said electric transmission,
distribution and telephone lines, to the extent necessary to
prevent any such interference or danger.
The above described property is to be used for public
road and highway purposes only, and in the event said land is not
used for public road and highway purposes, or if the project for
the construction of said public road or highway is abandoned, or
in the event said land shall hereafter be vacated as a public
highway or road, it shall thereupon, ipso facto, revert to said
Grantor, its successors or assigns.
As a controlling part of the consideration for the
execution of this instrument, this grant of easement is made and
accepted upon and subject to the express condition that the open-
ing, widening and /or improvement of the road or highway for which
this easement is given, shall be done without cost or expense
whatsoever to said Grantor, its successors or assigns, and that in
the event a special assessment or assessments is or are levied by
any authorized lawful body against the real property of said
Grantor, its successors or assigns, for said opening, widening
and /or improvement, the said Grantee, in consideration of the
execution and delivery of this road easement by said Grantor,
agrees, by the acceptance of this instrument, that it will reim-

burse said Grantor, its successors or assigns, and it shall be
the binding obligation of the said Grantee to reimburse said
Grantor, its successors or assigns, for the full amount of any
and all such special assessment or assessments so levied for said
improvement and paid by said Grantor, its successors or assigns.
The rights hereby granted are not necessary or useful in
the performance of the duties of said Grantor to the public.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, said Grantor has caused its corpor-
late name and seal to be affixed hereto and this instrument to be
executed by its Vice President and Assistant Secretary, thereunto
