R258THIS INDENTURE, made this /a day of A. D. 1941, by and between RALPH E. MATTESON and CHARLOTTE A. MATTESON, Husband and Wife, of Los Angeles County, California, first parties, and the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation of the sixth class, situated in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, second party, W I.T N E S S E T H: That the said first parties, for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar($1.00), lawful money of the United States of America, to them in hand paid by the said second party, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents grant and convey unto the said second party, a perpetual easement and right -of -way for a public street, in, over, upon and across that certain piece or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the City of El Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows, to -wit: A parcel of land in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, being that portion of Lot 3, Map of J. H. Fisher's Subdivision in Section 12 of the Rancho Sausal Redondo, as recorded in Book 22, Page 87, Miscellaneous Records of said County and filed in the office of the Recorder of said County, being that portion of a strip of land 25 feet in width, lying south of and adjacent to the direct line from the point of termination of the center line of Maple Avenue as shown on Map of Tract No. 2589, recorded in Book 25, Page 52 of Maps, Records of said County and filed as aforesaid, in the westerly line of said Lot 3, to the point of intersection of the center lines of Maple Avenue and Center Street, as said Avenue and Street are shown on map of Sheet 5, E1 Segundo, recorded in Book 20, Pages 114 and 115 of Maps, Records of said County and filed as aforesaid, bounded as follows: Beginning at said point of termination hereinbefore referred to; thence S 890- 56' -48" E a distance of 659.30 feet along said -1- Said property is to be used for public street purposes only, and in the event that said land, or any portion thereof, is not used for street purposes, or if after being so used, the same is abandoned for such purposes, or vacated as a public street, it shall revert to the owners of the adjoining property, their heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all and singular, the said premises unto the said second party to be used as and for a public street and for no other purpose.
