FOR A VALUABLE CONSIDERATION, receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, HUGHES AIRCRAFT COMPANY, a Delaware corporation
(hereinafter "Grantor "), owner of the real property hereinafter
described, does hereby grant to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a muni-
cipal corporation, located in the County of Los Angeles, State
of California (hereinafter "Grantee "), an easement and right -
of -way for the construction, reconstruction, inspection, main-
tenance, operation and repair of a pipeline, catchbasins and
appurtenant structures in, over, upon and across the real prop -
perty in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State
of California, described as follows:
PARCEL A
An easement for Catch Basin
over that portion of the Northwest Quarter of Section 7, Township 3 South,
Range 14 West, in the Rancho Sausal Redondo, in the City of E1 Segundo,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the centerline of Nash Street, 80 feet wide, said
centerline being a line parallel with and 10 feet westerly, measured at
right angles, from the easterly line of said Northwest Quarter, said
point lying 33.20 feet southerly, measured alonc said centerline, from
the centerline of Imperial Highway, 90 feet wide, said last mentioned
centerline being also the northerly line of said Section 7; thence
westerly in a direct line 65,97 feet to an intersection with a line that
is parallel with and 32.40 feet southerly, measured at right angles, from
said centerline of Imperial Highway; thence along said last mentioned
parallel line West 40.42 feet; thence South 7.60 feet to a point in a
line that is parallel with and 40 feet southerly, measured at right
angles, from said centerline of Imperial Highway, said last mentioned
point being the true point of beginning of this description; thence along
said last mentioned parallel line, East 4 feet; thence South 5 feet;
thence West 8 feet; thence North 5 feet to said last mentioned parallel
line; thence along said parallel line, East 4 feet to the true point of

Recorder of said County, said Parcel 1 being portion of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 7, Township 3 South, Ranqe 14 West, in the Rancho
Sausal Redondo, described as a whole as follows:
Beginninq at a point on the centerline of Nash Street, 80 feet wide, said
centerline being a line parallel with and 10 feet westerly, measured at
right angles, from the easterly line of said Northwest Quarter, said
point lying 33.20 feet southerly, measured alonq said centerline, from
the centerline of Imperial Highway, 90 feet wide, said last mentioned
centerline being also the northerly line of said Section 7; thence
westerly in a direct line 65.97 feet to an intersection with a line that
is parallel with and 32.40 feet southerly, measured at right angles, from
said centerline of Imperial Highway; thence along said last mentioned
parallel line West 1318.02 feet; thence South 7.60 feet to a point in a
line that is parallel with and 40 feet southerly, measured at right

Together with the right to Grantee to enter upon and to pass
and repass over and along said parcels of land, and to deposit
tools, implements and other material thereon by Grantee, its
agents, and employees, and by persons under contract with it,
and their employees, whenever and wherever necessary, for the
purpose of constructing, reconstructing, inspecting, maintaining,
operating and repairing said pipeline and said catchbasins and
said appurtenant structures.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD said easements and rights of way unto
Grantee, its successors and assigns, for the purposes and uses,
and subject to the covenants and agreements, herein set forth.
Upon any exercise of the riqhts and privileges afforded
hereby which results in a penetration of the surface of the
above- described parcels of land, Grantee shall restore the sur-
face of the land, including any improvements thereon, as nearly
as reasonably possible, to the same condition in which it existed
immediately prior to the entry of Grantee thereon.
The easements described herein as Parcel "A" through Parcel "D"
are depicted on the Plot Plan attached hereto marked Exhibit "A"
and by this reference incorporated herein.
