THIS INDENTURE made this 4th day of September. ,A.D., 1956.
by and between DEXTER K. BENSON and OLGA R. BENSON, parties of the first
part, and THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a Municipal Corporation of the County
of Los Angeles, State of California, party of the second part, -
W I T N E S S E T H:
That the said parties of the first part, for a valuable consider-
ation, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents grant
and convey unto the said party of the second part, a perpetual easement
0
and right of way for the construction, reconstruction, inspection, main-
tenance, operation and repair of a pipeline, in, under and along that,epr
tain parcel of land, situated in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los
Angeles, State of California, described. as follows, to wit:
The northerly 3.00 feet of lot 5; Block 15, as recorded in Book 18
of i -u ps, Fagz 69,in the Office; of the County Recorder of Los Angeles
County, California, -
together with the right to said party of the second part to enter upon
and to pass and repass over and along said strip of land, and to deposit
tools, implements and other material thereon by said party of the second
part, its officers, agents and employees and by persons under contract
with it and their employees whenever and wherever necessary, for the pur-
pose of constructing, reconstructing, inspecting, maintianing, operating
and repairing said pipeline.
In consideration of the foregoing grant, the said party of the second
part hereby agrees that such pipeline shall be constructed in a good and
workmanlike manner, and that upon the completion of said pipeline, the
surface of the land will be restored, as nearly as reasonably possible,
to the same condition in which it was in immediately prior to the con-
struction of said pipeline.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said easement and right of way unto the said
party of the second part, its successors and assigns, for the purpose and
uses hereinabove set forth.

CALIFORNIA, OCTOBER 8, 1956
t1RESOLVED, that that certain grant of easement for pipeline, dated
the lath day of September, 1956, executed by Dexter K. Benson and
Olga R. Benson, granting and conveying to the City of E1 Segundo,
a municipal corporation of Los Angeles County, California, a per-
petual easement and right -of -way for the construction, reconstruction,
inspection, maintenance, operation and repair of a pipeline in, under
and along that certain parcel of land , situated in the City of E1
Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as
follows, to wit:
The northerly 3.00 feet of Lot 5,
Block 15, as recorded in Book 18 of
Maps.. Page 69, in the office of the
County Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California.,
for public storm drain purposes in said City, be and the same is
hereby accepted for and on behalf of the City of E1 Segundo; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and she is hereby
authorized and directed to cause said instrument to be filed for re-
cord in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California.
