RESOLUTION NO. 2807
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ACQUISITION
OF THE TEENAGE RECREATION CENTER PROPERTY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That those certain Escrow Instructions
under Escrow No. 35 -6801 dated August 18, 1977, and an amendment
thereto dated September 14, 1977, copies of which are attached
hereto marked Exhibits A and B, respectively, which provide for the
City to acquire the following described real property:
PARCEL 1: Lots 1 and 2 in Block 38 of E1 Segundo,
Sheer in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los
Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in
Book 22, Pages 54 and 55 of Maps, in the office of the
County recorder of said County, and that portion of
Arena Street (vacated), bounded as follows: Bounded on
the North by the South line of the Pacific Electric
Railway right of way; bounded on the East by the
Westerly line of said Lot 1; bounded on the South by
the Westerly prolongation of the Southerly line of
said Lot 1; bounded on the West by the center line of
said vacated Arena Street.
PARCEL 2: The Westerly 25.00 feet of that portion of
Arena Street, as vacated by Resolution No's. 1359 and
1364 of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, and
recorded in Book 43168, Page 143 Official Records, lying
between the North line of Grand Avenue and the South
line of the Pacific Electric Railway right of way as
shown on the map recorded as El Segundo Sheet No. 7,
in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State
of California, as per map recorded in Book 22, Pages 54
and 55 of Maps, on file as aforesaid.;
presented to the City Council at this meeting be placed on file
in the office of the City Clerk and as so on file are hereby
approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute said instructions.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized
to deliver the Escrow Instructions into the Escrow and the City
Clerk be and she is hereby authorized to accept on behalf of
the City Council any deed or deeds tendered to implement said
Escrow Instructions.
SECTION 3. That the City Treasurer and the Director
of Finance be and they are hereby authorized and directed to

make, issue and draw a warrant in the sum of $150,285.00 and
deliver the same to the City Manager who is authorized to deliver
said warrant into the Escrow.
SECTION 4. That the Mayor, City Manager, and the
City Clerk, be, and each of them are, hereby authorized and
directed to take such steps that may be necessary to complete
the acquisition of the foregoing property.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the
book of original resolutions of said city; and shall make a
minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of
the proceedings of the City Council of said city, in the minutes
of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
