One of those parcels (Nevada Street basin) was involved in litigation with, Mr. Jack Morgan and his wife. We were engaged in negotiations with Mr. Morgan through his attorneys working toward a resolution of those problems when Mr. Morgan passed away. While we are continuing to work with Mr. Morgan's estate in an effort to conclude the sale of the Nevada Street property, it appears desirable to separately conclude the sale of the Center Street parcel There is, therefore, submitted herewith escrow instructions calling for a sale price of $162,750 for the Center Street sump. It is recommended that: (1) The City Council ratify the execution of the escrow instruc- tions by the City Manager; v (2) Authorize the Mayor pro Tempore to execute the Deed required to carry out the escrow instructions; and (3) Authorize the Mayor pro Tempore, the City Manager, the City Clerk, and the City Attorney to take such actions as may be necessary to com- plete the sale in accordance with the escrow instructions.
