FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT NO. 3858
BETWEEN
THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO AND
MARINA LANDSCAPE, INC.
FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT ( "Amendment "), is made and entered into on this 16th day
of April 2009, by and between the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a general law city and
Municipal Corporation existing under the laws of California ( "City "), and MARINA
LANDSCAPE, INC., (Consultant).
1. Agreement No. 3858 ( "Agreement "), executed by the parties on or about August
20, 2008 is amended to add the services as set forth on Exhibit A hereto:
The Consultant will begin performance of these additional services on April 16,
2009. Consultant will complete each of the tasks included in Exhibit A to City's
satisfaction. If City is not satisfied with such services, the Consultant will work
on such matter until City approves of the service. For the additional services
included in Exhibit A, this Amendment No. 1 provides an increase to the
Agreement in an amount not to exceed $1,920.00 bringing the total agreement
amount to $9,415.00.
2. The attached Exhibit A which is incorporated by reference adds to the
Consultant's Scope of Services in the Agreement.
3. This Amendment may be executed in any number of counterparts, each of which
will be an original, but all of which together constitute one instrument executed
on the same date.
4. Except as modified by this Amendment, all other terms and conditions of
Agreement No. 3858 remain the same.

EXHIBIT A
Scope of Amendment No. 1:

The design of a decomposed granite (DG) path is being requested as part of this
project and will be fully funded by Transportation Development Act (TDA) funds.
The scope of services in Contract No. 3858 (original contract) will not change.
The DG path is being added to provide public pedestrian access to Washington
Park pursuant to Section 99407 of the TDA, Pedestrian & Bicycle Facility Claims
The path will connect Palm Avenue to Maple Avenue via the existing playground
area. This will include designing the 5 foot wide stabilized DG material path to a
3" depth with a redwood header edging on both sides of the path.
