Re: Concurrence to Use of 470 -512 MHz Channels
Dear Sir or Madam:
The City of El Segundo is the licensee of FCC station WQAD318 on frequency pair 472/475.5375
(the "Channels ") at Sierra Peak, Corona, Calif. (N33- 50- 58/W117- 39 -17), Rio Hondo Peak,
Whittier, Calif. (N34- 01- 02/W118- 00 -54), Verdugo Peak, Glendale, Calif. (N34-13-09/W118-17-
10), San Pedro Hill, Rolling Hills, Calif. (N33- 44- 50/W118- 20 -10), and 24500 Saddle Peak Road,
Malibu, Calif. (N34- 04- 32/W118- 39 -30).
The purpose of this letter is to notify you that we do not object to your issuance of frequency
coordination for, and the FCC's ultimate grant of, an application submitted by The City of Los
Angeles Department of Airports (a /k/a Los Angeles World Airports, or "LAWK) to operate on the
channel pair 472/475.5500, using 12.5 KHz bandwidth, which is adjacent to our 25 KHz channel
pair noted above, at Baldwin Hills, Culver City, Calif. (N34- 00- 25/W118- 21 -41), LAWAAdmin East
Building, Los Angeles, Calif. (N33- 56- 42/W118- 23 -52), LAWA Admin West Building, Los Angeles,
Calif. (N33- 56- 31/W118- 25 -22, Mount Lukens, Los Angeles, Calif. (N34- 16- 07.8/W118 -14- 15.5),
Sierra Peak, Santa Ana, Calif. (N33- 51- 00/W117- 39 -16) and Palmdale Airport 4037 E. Ave P8,
Palmdale, Calif. (N34- 35- 42/W118- 03 -23), whether or not that application would satisfy the
geographic separation criteria specified in TIA Bulletin TSB -88.
The parties agree to work cooperatively in pursuit of resolving any harmful interference and in any
matters affecting the other's communications systems.
If there are any questions regarding this matter, the FCC is asked to contact the undersigned
directly.

RE: LAWA Concurrence for Adjacent Channel Use of 472.5500
Max
We appreciate the quick turn- around in providing LAWA with a letter of concurrence, for their use of 472.5500,
which is adjacent to El Segundo's use of 472.5375. LAWA recently had an analysis done on their existing site
locations and found the coordinates were slightly off. The sites are the same locations as previously stated, but
given today's technology advancements, LAWA was able to get a more accurate reading.
LAWA would like these new coordinates reflected on their FCC license. To do so, LAWA is requesting a revised
concurrence letter, which has the following changes:
Mt Lukens coordinates are slightly changed to "N34- 16- 07.8/W118 -14- 15.5." The last concurrence letter
signed by El Segundo had Mt Lukens coordinates ofN34- 16- 04/W118- 14 -09. This is merely an
administrative change on the license as the site location is the same as what has always been in use at Mt
Lukens.
2. Sierra Peak coordinates are slightly changed to "N33- 51 -00/W 117- 39 -16." The last concurrence letter
signed by El Segundo had Sierra Peak coordinates of N33- 50 -56/W 117- 39 -14. This is merely an
administrative change on the license as the site location is the same as what has always been used at Sierra
Peak.
3. LAWA has decided to call the Old Tower site location, "LAWA Admin East Building," and the Fed Ex
Building site location, "LAWA Admin West Building." Again, these are the same site locations LAWA
has always been operational at, but decided to change the name on the license to more accurately reflect
the location.
We appreciate your cooperation in this oversight and apologize for any inconvenience. The attached new
concurrence letter will replace the one previously signed by the City of El Segundo. Please contact me at 562 -244-
6119 with any questions.
Regards,
Todd Johnson
