WITHIN SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, Rockwell International Corporation did heretofore
apply to the Planning Commission of the City of El Segundo, California, for
an Unclassified Use Permit for a helistop to be maintained and operated on
an existing parking lot located adjacent to Douglas Street between Imperial
Highway and Mariposa Avenue, within said city, more particularly described
as follows:
Parcel 1: That certain portion of the northeast quarter
of Section 7, Township 3 South, Range 14 West, in the
Rancho Sausal Redondo, in the City of E! Segundo, Count:v
of Los Angeles, State of California, as said Section is
shown on map recorded in Book 70, Page 97 of Miscell -neous
Records, in the Office of the County Recorder of said
County, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a line which is parallel with and normally
distant 189.60 feet westerly from the east line of said
northeast quarter of Section 7 at a point in said parallel
line distant thereon 922.99 feet southerly from the north
line of said northeast quarter, said POINT OF BEGINNING
being also the southeast corner of that certain parcel
of land described in deed dated August 13, 1929, recorded
in Book 9716, Page 375, Official Records, of said County;
thence from said POINT OF BEGINNING easterly parallel with
said north line of said quarter section, a distance of 30
feet to a point in the center line of Lapham Street, 60
feet wide; thence southerly along said center line and its
southerly prolongation, and parallel with the east line of
said quarter section 444.00 feet; thence westerly parallel
with the north line of said quarter section 1180.60 feet
to a point in the southerly prolongation of the center line
of Northrop Street, 150.00 feet,wide; thence northerly
along said prolongation and center line, 444,00 feet to
the south line of land described in deed recorded ,.n Book
16739, Page 182 of said Official Records; thence easterly`
along said south line to and along the south line -of land
described in said deed recorded in Book 9710, Page 375,
Official Records, 1150.60 feet to the POI`JT OF BEGINNING.
EXCEPT the northerly 60 feet of the westerly 75 feet and
the northerly 60 feet of the easterlv 30 feet thereof
within the 60 foot strip of land described in deed to Cit -y,
of El Segundo, recorded March 7, 1934 in Book 12672, ?aje

Said westerly 75 feet being within Northrop Street and
' said 30 feet being within Lapham Street,
Parcel 2. That certain portion of the northeast.quarter
of Section 7, Township 3 South, Range 14 West, in the
Rancho Sausal'Redondo, in the City of El Segundo, County__
of Los Angeles, State of California, as said section is
shown on Map recorded in Book 70, Page 97 of Miscellaneous
Records of said County, more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner or that certain parcel
of land described in deed dated August 13, 1929, recorded
in Book 9716, Page 375, Official Records; thence south
89° 47' west 608.57 feet along -the northerly line of
Douglas Street, 60 feet in width, per deed recorded in
Book 12672, Page 114, Official Records, said Douglas
Street being the most southerly portion of the 60 foot
strip described in said last mentioned deed; thence north
00 12' west along the easterly line of Northrop Street;
60 feet in width, per deed recorded in Book 12672, Page
114, Official Records, a distance of 420 feet, said
Northrop Street being the most westerly portion of the -
60 foot strip described in said last mentioned deed;
thence north 890 47' east along the southern line of the
railroad right of way, 43 feet in width, described in
Parcel 2 in deed recorded in Book 9778, Page 354, Official
Records, a distance of 608.57 feet to the northwest corner
of said lard described in deed recorded in Book 9716,,
Page 375, Official Records; thence South 00 12' east%along
the western line of last said land, a distance of 420 feet
to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Parcel 3. A parcel of land in the City of El Segundo, in
the County of Los Angeles, State of California, situated
in the northeast quarter of Section 7, Township 3 South,
Range 14 West, as shown on Map recorded in Book 70, Page
97, Miscellaneous Records of said County, described as
follows:
Beginning in a line distant 189.6 feet westerly from and
parallel with the east line of said northeast quarter at
a point distant 408.08 feet southerly on said parallel
line from the north line of said northeast quarter; thence
southerly on said parallel line 514.91 feet; thence
westerly parallel with said north line 557.03 feet; thence
northerly parallel with said east line 420.0 feet; thence
easterly parallel with said north line 263.99 feet; thence
northeasterly along the arc of a tangent curve of 499.839
foot radius concave northwesterly 313.13 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING: and
WHEREAS, said Commission duly noticed and held a public hear-
ing on the said application for permit and did, by its Resolution No. 811,
recommend Unclassified Use Permit 2 -74 be granted said applicant; and
WHEREAS, said Council has duly noticed and held a public hear-
ins on the matter of said application before said Council as contemplated

under the provisions of Title 20 of the "El Segundo `vIunicipal Code, f' and
has reached its decision in said matter as hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
'L SEGIJNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, FIND, DECLARE AND
ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the application of Rockwell International
Corporation for an unclassified Use Permit to maintain and operate a
helistop on property- located adjacent to Douglas Street between Imperial
Highway and Mariposa Avenue, within the City of El Segundo, California,
be, and the same is hereby, granted subject to the following limitations
and conditions:
(1) Prior to the issuance of a building permit, approval must
be obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration.
(2) The landing area shall be classified as a helistop- limited
use as defined in Planning Commission Resolution No. 431 and shall be sub-
ject to all applicable restrictions enumerated in that resolution.
(3) This project shall meet all applicable requirements of the
building and fire codes.
(4) There shall be no flights from or to the helistop during the
night between one -half hour after sunset and one -half hour before sunrise.
(5) The helistop shall be operated within the permitted noise
level for the area established by the "El Segundo Municipal Code. "
(6) In no case shall the site, as depicted on a map on file in the
Planning Department, entitled," Lapham Street Facility 120 -915;' have less
than 1113 parking spaces.
(7) This permit shall be limited by the term of the lease for the
parking lot located between Lapham Street and the railroad. Should that
lease expire and not be renewed, this permit shall expire.
(a) During lift -off and landing, helicopters shall not fly over

adopted; and shall, within fifteen days after the passage and adopt"Lon thereof,
cause the same to be published once in theEL Segundo Herald, a weekly news-
paper of general circulation, published and circulated within said City of
El Segundo, and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
