ORDINANCE 746ORDINANCE NO. 746 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE "EL SEGUNDO MUNICIPAL CODE" BY ADDING TO TITLE 10 (VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC) CHAPTER 10. 78 ENTITLED "MOTOR VEHICLES ON VACANT PROPERTY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Chapter 10. 78, consisting of Sections a� 7' 10. 78. 010 to 10. 78. 020, inclusive, is hereby added to Title 10 (Vehicles and Traffic) of the "El Segundo Municipal Code ", to read as follows: "CHAPTER 10.78 MOTOR VEHICLES ON VACANT PROPERTY "SECTIONS: 10.78.010 PROHIBITION 10.78.020 EXCEPTIONS "10.78.010 PROHIBITION. A person shall not operate any motor vehicle (including any motorcycle, trail bike, dune buggy, motor scooter, or jeep) or the motor thereof on any vacant lot, parking lot, vacant property or acreage so as to disturb the peace or quiet of any neighborhood or person by noise, dust, smoke, or fumes caused by such motor vehicle. "10. 78.020 EXCEPTIONS. This Chapter does not apply to any act prohibited by Section 372 of the Penal Code, or pro- hibited or expressly permitted by any state statute. " SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall become effective at mid- night on the thirtieth day from and after the final passage and adoption thereof. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance; shall cause the same to be entered in the book of original ordinances of said city; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall within fifteen days after the passage and adoption thereof, cause the same to be published once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated within said City of El Segundo and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
