ORDINANCE 697ORDINANCE NO. 697 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 2.45 OF "THE CODE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, 1958," RELATING TO THE DUTIES OF THE DIREC- TOR OF FINANCE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the caption and the paragraph numbered "3" of Section 2. 45 of "Article IV. Director of Finance" of Chapter 2 of "The Code of the City of El Segundo, California, 1958, " are amended to read as follows: "The financial and accounting duties imposed upon the City Clerk by Section 40802 of the State Government Code are hereby transferred to the Director of Finance. He shall per- form the following duties:" "3. Furnishing Financial Statement. Cause the financial statement of the city to be furnished in accordance with the pro- visions of Section 53891 of the Government Code;" SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall become effective at midnight on the thirtieth day from and after the final passage and adop- tion thereof. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage 4 3?'� and adoption of this ordinance; shall cause the same to be entered in the book of original ordinances of said city; shall make a minute of the pass- age and adoption thereof in the records of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall within fifteen days after the passage and adoption thereof, cause the same to be published once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circu- lated within said City of El Segundo and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
