ORDINANCE 688ORDINANCE NO. 688 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTIONS 17.3.8 AND 18.3 OF "THE CODE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, 1958," RELATING TO THE REMOVAL OF VEHICLES, AND NUISANCES ENUMERATED, RESPECTIVELY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That a new subsection to be known as "(e)" shall be added to Section 17.3.8 of Chapter 17 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic) of "The Code of the City of E1 Segundo, California, 1958," and it shall read as follows: "(e) Any vehicle, or portion thereof, that has been parked or left standing upon a city parking lot or on city property for seventy -two or more consecutive hours." SECTION 2. That a new unnumbered paragraph shall be added to Section 18.3 of Chapter 18 (Nuisances Generally) of said Code, and it shall read as follows: "Vehicles or parts thereof. The leaving, storing or keeping of dismantled, inoperative vehicle or vehicles or parts thereof, within the city for a period longer than three days, other than within a structure or property enclosed by a wall or solid six foot fence in good repair, unless a permit therefor has been obtained from the Chief of Police on application regularly filed, setting forth the location and manner in which the vehicles are to be kept." SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective at midnight on the thirtieth day from and after the final passage and adoption thereof. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance; shall cause the same to be entered in the book of original ordinances of said city; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall within fifteen days after the passage and adoption thereof, cause the same to be published once in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated within said City of E1 Segundo, and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
