ORDINANCE NO. 6 3 7
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE BUDGET FOR
THE 1965 -1966 FISCAL YEAR.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALI-
FORMA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 37208 of
the Government Code, there is hereby approved as the Budget of the City
of El Segundo for the fiscal year 1965 -1966, that certain document entitled
"City of El Segundo, California, Annual Budget 1965 - 1966" to the extent
of the totals set forth in each of the budgets contained therein for salaries
and wages, materials and supplies, contractual services, and capital out-
lay, the total set forth therein for redemption and interest requirements,
and the totals set forth therein for each capital improvement project.
Each of the following sums are appropriated from each of the following
funds for the purpose of carrying on the business of the City in accordance
with the Budget herein approved:
General Fund
Water Operating Fund
Library Fund
State Gasoline Tax Fund
Pension Fund

SECTION 2. The Council, from time to time, by motion or
resolution, may approve and authorize the payment of non - budgeted demands
from appropriated funds; and may appropriate funds for budgeted or non-
budgeted items, and any such appropriation for a non - budgeted item shall
constitute an approval to issue a warrant in payment of a proper demand
or demands therefor.
SECTION 3. This ordinance, being an ordinance relating to
taxes for the usual and current expenses of the City shall become effective

and be in full force and effect at 12 :01 a. m., on the day next following
its passage.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this ordinance; shall cause the same to be entered in the book
of original ordinances of said city; shall make a minute of the passage and
adoption thereof in the records of the meeting at which the same is passed
and adopted; and shall, within fifteen days after the passage and adoption
thereof, cause the same to be published once in the E1 Segundo Herald, a
weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated within
said City of El Segundo, and which is hereby designated for that purpose.

be installed at ownerst expense pursuant to plans and specifica-
tions approved by the City Engineer;
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to endorse the Plan
as hereby approved and adopted by the City Council. Said Precise Plan
is on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, open to public inspec-
tion, and is by this reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall become effective a mid-
night on the thirtieth day from and after the date of the final passage and
adoption thereof.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this ordinance; shall cause the same to be entered in the
book of original, ordinances of said city; shall make a minute of the pass-
age and adoption thereof in the records of the meeting at which the same
is passed and adopted; and shall, within fifteen days after the passage and
adoption thereof, cause the same to be published once in the El Segundo
