ORDINANCE 525613' ORDINANCE NO. 525 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 507 (THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE) OF SAID CITY IN VARIOUS PARTICULARS. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That item "(c)" of paragraph "(1) of Sec- tions 404, 504, and 604; and item "(b)" of paragraph "(2)" of Sections 404, 504, and 604; of Ordinance No. 507 (the Comprehen- sive Zoning Ordinance) of the City of E1 Segundo shall be, and each of them is hereby, amended so as to read as follows: "The distance between buildings used for human habitation; between buildings used for human habitation and accessory buildings; between accessory buildings shall be not less than ten (10) feet; provided, the distance between build- ings used for human habitation and accessory buildings; and the distance between accessory buildings may be re- duced to not less than five (5) feet when no windows re- quired by the Building Code are placed facing upon such open space." SECTION 2. That paragraph "(1)" of Section 900 of said Ordinance No. 507 shall be, and the same is hereby, amended so as to read as follows: "(1) Any use permitted in the C -1 Zone, provided that only that portion of a building located above the ground floor may be used for dwelling purposes, except motels." SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective at midnight on the thirtieth day from and after the date of the final passage and adoption thereof. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance; shall cause the same to - 1 - 3644 be entered in the book of original ordinances of said City, shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall, within fifteen days after the passage and adoption thereof, cause the same to be published once in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated with- in said City of E1 Segundo and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
