ORDINANCE 498342 ORDINANCE NO. 498. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 434 (THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE) OF SAID CITY BY AMENDING "SECTION 14181, OF "ARTICLE 1411 OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 434, AS APIENDED. WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission and the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, have duly and regularly processed and held public hearings upon the herein- after quoted amendments to Ordinance No. 434 (The Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance) of the City of El Segundo, California, passed and adopted on the 14th day of April, 1954, as amended, pursuant to proceedings instituted by said City Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, said City Council has now acquired jurisdic- tion to adopt this ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That said Council does hereby refer to Resolution No. 284 of the City Planning Commission of the City of El Segundo, California, adopted on the 29th day of August, 1956, a full, true and correct copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, open to public inspection, and as so on file is hereby referred to and by this reference incor- porated herein and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. That said City Council does hereby make the same findings and determinations with reference to the amend- ments hereinafter set forth, as are made by said Planning Commis- sion with reference thereto in its said Resolution No. 2$4. SECTION 3. That Section 1418 of Article 14 of said Ordinance No. 434 shall be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows, to wit: - 1 - 342: "Section 1418: REQUIRED LOADING SPACE. Every main building hereafter erected or structurally altered or designed or used for commercial or industrial pur- poses in a C, C -M or M Zone shall be provided with load- ing space as follows, and under the following conditions: (1) When such building is located upon a site contiguous to a public alley it shall be provided with a minimum off - street or off -alley loading space twenty (20) feet in depth extend- ing the entire width of the building and which distance shall in no case be less than forty (40) feet, and fourteen (14) feet in height. (2) In any M Zone easterly of Sepulveda when the loading space is provided adjacent to a street or alley, the loading platform to serve such loading space shall be not less than forty (40) feet from the property line of the street or alley upon which such loading space is con - tiguous't, SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall become effective at midnight on the thirtieth day from and after the date of the final passage and adoption thereof. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance; shall cause the same to be entered in the book of original ordinances of said City; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall, within fifteen days after the passage and adoption thereof, cause the same to be published once in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated within said City of E1 Segundo and which is hereby designated for that purpose. - 2 - 3430 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of October, 1956.
