ORDINANCE 4823332 ORDINANCE NO. 81� 2. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY UNDER THE PRO - VISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 434 (THE COMPRE- HENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE) OF SAID CITY, AS AMENDED, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION, DESIGNATED AS *315x0 TO ARTICLE 3 OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 1+34; AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, ACCORDINGLY. WHEREAS, under the provisions of Ordinance No. 434 (The Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance) of the City of E1 Segundo, Cali- fornia, hereinafter referred to, Willard N. Bailey, owner of the real property hereinafter described, made application for the reclassification of said property from Zone R -3 to Zone C -2; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of said City did, as required by law, duly and regularly process the said applica- tion and hold public hearing thereon, and did duly and regularly report to and file with the City Council of said City (by Resolu- tion No. 248 of said Commission adopted on the 15th day of Febru- ary, 1956) the findings, determinations and recommendations of said Planning Commission with reference to said application; and WHEREAS, said Commission in its said Resolution No. 248 did approve the application and thereby recommend to said Council that said proposed reclassification of said hereinafter described property be granted; and WHEREAS, the City Council of said City, on its own part, has, as required by law, duly and regularly processed and held a public hearing upon the said application, and has considered the said application and all of the files and records of said Commis- sion relating thereto, and has also duly considered all evidence, - 1 - X333 both oral and documentary, submitted, both to said Commission and to said City Council, with reference to said application and the matter of said proposed reclassification; and WHEREAS, said City Council has reached its determina- tion and decision with reference thereto, as hereinafter set forth; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SE- GUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the said Council does hereby approve the recommendations of said City Planning Commission in the mat- ter of said application, as set forth in said Resolution No. 248 of said Commission. SECTION 2. That a new section to be known and desig- nated as "Section 315" shall be, and the same is, hereby added to Article 3 of said Ordinance No. 434 (The Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance) of the City of E1 Segundo, California, passed and adopted on the 14th day of April, 19540 as amended, and which said new Section 315 shall read as follows, to wit: *SECTION 315. That pursuant to Zone Change Appli- cation of Willard N. Bailey, as duly and regularly pro- cessed and publicly heard by the said Commission and the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, the following described real property located within the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, to wit: Lot 26, Block 41, Tract 1$26, as per map recorded in Book 21, Page 93 of Maps* on file in the of- fice of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, Cali- fornia, shall be and the sane is hereby changed, reclassified and rezoned from Zone R -3 to Zone C -2, under the provisions of this ordinance.* SECTION 3. That said City Council has caused to be pre- pared a small area map of the area or district affected by the - 2 - tI '334 zone changes hereinabove ordered to be made, which said small area map is hereunto attahced, designated as *Exhibit A", and is hereby referred to and by this reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof. Said small area map (Exhibit A) is hereby adopted as, and shall be an amendment to, the extent of the area shown thereon and affected thereby, of the "Zoning Map of the City of El Segundo", referred to in, and which is adopted by, the provisions of Section 302 of Article 3 of said Ordinance No. 434 of said City. SECTION 4. That said Ordinance No. 434 and said Zoning Map of said City shall be and the same are hereby amended as here- inabove in Sections 2 and 3 of this ordinance set forth. SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall become effective at midnight on the thirtieth day from and after the date of the final passage and adoption thereof. SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted, shall cause the same to be entered in the book of original ordinances of said City; and shall, within fifteen days after the passage and adoption there- of, cause the same to be published once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circu- lated within said City of E1 Segundo and which is hereby desig- nated for that purpose. 23rd Passed, approved and adopted this day of April, 1956.
