V ORDINANCE NO. 439 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALI- FORNIA, RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY, WITHIN SAID CITY, UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 434 (THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE) OF SAID CITY BY ADDING A NEW SEC - TION, DESIGNATED AS "30$n, TO ARTICLE 3 OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 434; AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, ACCORD- INGLY. WHEREAS, under the provisions of Ordinance No. 434 (The Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance) of the City of E1 Segundo, hereinafter referred to, the City Planning Commission of said City on its own motion initiated proceedings for the reclassifi- cation of the real property hereinafter described, in the City of E1 Segundo, California, from a district of Zone C -2 to a district of Zone R -1 under the provisions of said Ordinance No. 434; and WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings initiated by the City Planning Commission of the City of E1 Segundo by its Resolution of Intention No. 185, the said Commission and the City Council of said City have duly and regularly processed and held public hear- ings upon the rezoning from Zone C -2 to Zone R -1 of the real prop- erty hereinafter described, all as contemplated under the pro- visions of Ordinance No. 434 (The Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance) of said City; and WHEREAS, the City Council has now acquired jurisdiction to adopt this ordinance, now, therefore, - - - THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: - 1 - M 3� Yf35 M 3� Yf35 ®dl, �3 SECTION 1. That a new section to be known and desig- nated as "Section 308" shall be and the same is hereby added to Article 3 of said Ordinance No. 434 (The Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance) of the City of E1 Segundo, California, passed and adopted on the 14th day of April, 1954, and which said new Sec- tion 308 shall read as follows, to wit; "SECTION 30$. That pursuant to Resolution of In- tention No. 185 of the City Planning Commission, as duly and regularly processed and publicly heard by the said Commission and the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, the following described real property located within the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, to wit: Lot 152 of Tract 15692, as per map recorded in Book 41$, Pages 45 to 4$, inclusive, of Maps on file in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, shall be and the same is hereby changed, reclassified and rezoned from Zone C -2 to Zone R -1 under the provisions of this ordinance." SECTION 2. That said City Council has caused to be prepared a small area map of the area or district affected by the zone change hereinabove ordered to be made, which said small area map is hereunto attached, designated as "Exhibit All, and is here- by referred to and by this reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof. Said small area map (Exhibit A) is hereby adopted as, and shall be an amendment to, the extent of the area shown thereon and affected thereby, of the "Zoning Map of the City of El Segundo ", referred to in, and which is adopted by, the pro- visions of Section 302 of Article 3 of said Ordinance No. 434 of said City. SECTION 3. That said Ordinance No. 434 and said Zoning Map of said City shall be and the same are hereby amended as here- inabove in Sections 1 and 2 of this ordinance set forth. - 2 - SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall become effective at midnight on the thirtieth day from and after the date of the final passage and adoption thereof. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; shall cause the same to be entered in the book of original ordinances of said City; and shall, within fifteen days after the passage and adoption there- of, cause the same to be published once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circu- lated within said City of El Segundo and which is hereby desig- nated for that purpose.
