ORDINANCE 407L ORDINANCE NO. 403 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALI- FORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 313 ( THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE) OF SAID CITY BY AMENDING SECTION 4 OF ARTICLE VI OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 313; AND BY AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ARTICLE XIV OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 3132 AS AMENDED. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Section 4 of Article VI of Ordinance No. 313, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALI- FORNIA, MAKING CERTAIN PROVISIONS RELATING TO PUBLIC STREETS AND PUBLIC PLACES WITHIN SAID CITY; REGULATING TRAFFIC IN AND UPON SUCH PUB- LIC STREETS AND PLACES; AND REPEALING ALL ORDI- NANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. ", passed and adopted on the 25th day of June, 1947, shall be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: "SECTION 4. STOP INTERSECTIONS AND STOP EN- TRANCES THERETO. The intersections of streets within said City set forth in the 'SCHEDULE OF STOP INTERSEC- SECTIONS AND STOP ENTRANCES' in this Section 4 of this Article VI of this Ordinance shall be and the same are hereby fixed, designated and established as stop inter- sections in and for said City. The said Schedule of stop intersections and stop entrances hereinabove in this Section referred to is hereby fixed, designated and established as follows: SCHEDULE OF STOP INTERSECTIONS AND STOP ENTRANCES. 1. Aviation Boulevard and Imperial Highway: west- erly entrance. 2. Aviation Boulevard and E1 Segundo Boulevard: westerly entrance. 3. Center Street and Mariposa Avenue: all en- trances. - 1 - .4 c 4. Center Street and Maple Avenue: all entrances. 5. Douglas Street and Imperial Highway: southerly entrance. 6. Lapham Street and Imperial Highway: southerly entrance. 7. Hillcrest Street and Mariposa Avenue: norther- ly and southerly entrances. 8. Sheldon Street and Imperial Highway: southerly entrance. 9. Sheldon Street and Maple Avenue: easterly and westerly entrances. 10. Sheldon Street and Oak Avenue: northerly and southerly entrances. 11. Sheldon Street and Walnut Avenue: northerly and southerly entrances. 12. Sheldon Street and Mariposa Avenue: all entrances. 13. Virginia Street and E1 Segundo Boulevard: north- erly entrance. 14. Virginia Street and Mariposa Avenue: all entran- ces. 15. Virginia Street and Palm Avenue: all entrances. 16. Main Street and E1 Segundo Boulevard: northerly and westerly entrances. 17. Sepulveda Boulevard and Rosecrans Avenue: east- erly entrance. 1$.. Sepulveda Boulevard and E1 Segundo Boulevard: easterly and westerly entrances. 19. Sepulveda Boulevard and Imperial Highway: wester- ly entrance. 20. Richmond Street and Holly Avenue: easterly and westerly entrances. 21. Imperial Highway and California Street: souther- ly entrance. 22. Grand Avenue and Eucalyptus Drive: southerly en- trance. 23. Grand Avenue and Lomita Street: easterly, west- erly and northerly entrances. 24. Grand Avenue and Concord Street: all entrances. 25. Main Street and Imperial Highway: southerly en- trance. 26. Franklin Avenue and Whiting Street: easterly and westerly entrances. 32. Center Street and Pine Avenue: westerly entrance. 33. Palm Avenue and Center Street: northerly, souther- ly and westerly entrances. 34. Maple Avenue and California Street: all entrances. 35. Penn Street and Maple Avenue: northerly and south- erly entrances. 36. Loma Vista Street and Palm Avenue: northerly and southerly entrances. 37. Richmond Street and Mariposa Avenue: all entrances. 38. Pine Avenue and Richmond Street: easterly and westerly entrances. 39. Acacia Avenue and Loma Vista Street: easterly and westerly entrances. 40. Walnut Avenue and California Street: all entrances." SECTION 2. That Section 1 of Article XIV of said Ordi- nance No. 313 shall be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: "SECTION 1. When authorized signs are in place giving notice thereof, no person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle within said City on any of the respective streets or portions thereof enumerated in this section for a period of time longer than is specified herein for said respective streets or portions thereof, to wit: 1. Two hours on Richmond Street between E1 Segundo Boulevard and Franklin Avenue between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m. of any day, excepting Saturdays and Sundays. 2. One hour on Grand Avenue between Concord Street and Main Street between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of any day, excepting Sundays. - 3 - '�01 3. Two hours on Concord Street between Franklin Ave- nue and E1 Segundo Boulevard between the hours of $ :00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m. of any day excepting Saturdays and Sundays. 4. Two hours on Virginia Street between Franklin Ave- nue and E1 Segundo Boulevard between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m. of any day, excepting Saturdays and Sundays. 5. Two hours on the northerly side of E1 Segundo Boulevard between Concord Street and Virginia Street between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m. of any day, excepting Saturdays and Sundays. 6. For any period of time whatsoever on E1 Segundo Boulevard between Richmond Street and Sepulveda Boulevard. 7. Five minutes on the south side of El Segundo Boulevard between Virginia Street and Richmond Street of any day. 8. For any period of time whatsoever on Franklin Avenue between Richmond Street and the first alley westerly of said Richmond Street, excepting only vehicles of the City of El Segundo, California. 9. For any period of time whatsoever on Coast Boule- vard between the southerly boundary line and the northerly boundary line of said City. 10. For any period of time whatsoever on the south side of Imperial Highway between Sepulveda Boule- vard and Aviation Boulevard. 11. For any period of time whatsoever on Lapham Street between the southerly line of Imperial Highway and a line parallel with and distant 36Z feet southerly therefrom. 12. Two hours on the West side of Laphhm Street be- tween a line parallel with and distant 362 feet from the southerly line of Imperial Highway and a line parallel with and distant 662 feet southerly from said southerly line of Imperial Highway be- tween the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m. of any day. 13. For any period of time whatsoever on Douglas Street between Imperial Highway and its terminus southerly therefrom, except that two hours parking shall be permitted along the westerly side of said street between the northerly line of Mariposa Avenue and a line parallel with and distant 1,550 feet north- erly therefrom. 14. For any period of time whatsoever in the first alley west of Richmond Street between Franklin Avenue and Grand Avenue. 15. Two hours on Richmond Street between Grand Avenue and Holly Avenue between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m. of any day, excepting Sundays. - 4 - 16. One hour on Richmond Street between Franklin Ave- nue and Grand Avenue between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m. of any day, excepting Sundays. 17. Two hours on Eucalyptus Drive between E1 Segundo Boulevard and Franklin Avenue between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m. of any day, excepting Sundays. 18. Two hours on Arena Street between E1 Segundo Boulevard and Franklin Avenue between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m. of any day, excepting Sundays. 19. Two hours on Sheldon Street between E1 Segundo Boulevard and Franklin Avenue between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m. of any day, excepting Sundays. 20. Two hours on Penn Street between E1 Segundo Boulevard and Franklin Avenue between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m. of any day, excepting Sundays. 21. For any period of time whatsoever on 118th Street between Lapham Street and Aviation Boulevard. 22. For any period of time whatsoever on 120th Street between Lapham Street and Aviation Boulevard. 23. For any period of time whatsoever on the north side of Mariposa Avenue between Virginia Street and Richmond Street. 24. For any period of time whatsoever on the north side of Mariposa Avenue between Main Street and the first alley easterly of Standard Street. 25. One hour on Main Street between Grand Avenue and Pine Avenue between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of any day, excepting Sundays. 26. For any period of time whatsoever on the south side of Palm Avenue between Virginia Street and Main Street. 27. For any period of time whatsoever on the west side of Aviation Boulevard between Imperial Highway and E1 Segundo Boulevard. 28. Two hours on Franklin Avenue between Lomita Street and Richmond Street between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m. of any day, excepting Sundays. 29. For any period of time whatsoever on the east side of Loma Vista Street between Grand Avenue and Mari- posa Avenue." SECTION 3. That said Ordinance No. 313, as amended, is hereby amended as hereinabove in Sections 1 and 2 of this ordi- nance set forth. - 5 - rl'- a02 i.a j SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall become effective at midnight on the thirtieth day from and after the date of the final passage and adoption thereof. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceed- ings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and within 15 days after the adoption thereof shall cause the same to be pub- lished once in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated within said City, and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
