ORDINANCE 365F ORDINANCE OF INTENTION NO. 365 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY TO CLOSE UP, VACATE AND ABANDON FOR PUBLIC ALLEY PURPOSES, A CERTAIN PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN PUBLIC ALLL?y RUNNING NORTH AND SOUTH IN BLOCK 42 OF EL SEGUNDO, AS SHOWN ON EL SEGUNDO SHEET NUMBER 3, RECORDED IN BOOK 20, PAGES 22 AND 23 OF MAPS, RECORDS OF LOS ANGELS COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF SAID COUNTY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS; SECTION 1. That in the opinion of the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, the public interest and con- venience require, and said City Council does hereby declare its intention to order, the vacation for public alley purposes of all of that certain portion of that certain public alley within said City of E1 Segundo, California, described as follows, to -wit; The northerly 475.00 feet of that certain public alley running North and South in Block 42 as shown on E1 Segundo Sheet No. 39 recorded in Book 20, Pages 22 and 23 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, California, and on file in the office of the County Recorder of said County. SECTION 2. That reference is hereby made to a map or plan, designated as "Map Showing Proposed Vacation of Portion of Public Alley in Block 42, of El Segundo Sheet No. 3 ", which is now on file in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall of said City, in said City, and open to public inspection, and which is hereby approved by the City Council of said City, for all par- ticulars as to the proposed vacation. -1- SECTION 3. That this Ordinance of Intention is adopted and the vacation proceedings therein referred to are being had under the provisions of the "street Vacation Act of 1941 of the State of California "(California Streets and Highways Code, Sections 8300 to 8331, both inclusive), as amended. SECTION 4. That pursuant to the provisions of said "Street Vacation Act of 1941 of the State of California ", as amended, the City Council does hereby call, and order to be held, a public hearing before said Council in the Council Chamber in the City Hall of said City, in said City, beginning at the hour Of 7:30 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, the 8th day of February, 1950, for hearing any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said hearing to be published and posted, all as required under the provisions of the said "Street Vacation Act of 1941 of the State of California ". SECTION 6. That this ordinance, being an ordinance re- lating to a street proceeding, shall take effect immediately upon final passage and adoption thereof. SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceed- ings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and within 15 days after the adoption thereof shall cause the same to be published once in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of -2- _J general circulation, published and circulated within said City, and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
