ORDINANCE NO. 347
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUMDO,
CALIFORNIA, REPEALING ORDINANCE 50. 180
OF SAID CITY ADOPTED ON THE 14th DAY O'
OCTOBER, 19319 AND ORDINANCE 30. 234 OF
SAID CITY ADOPTER ON THE 4TH DAY MP S$P-
TEYBER, 1940, BOTH OP WHICH HBLATE TO
SET BACK LINES ALONG THE SOVMRLY LIMB
OF WERIAL HIGHWAY WITHIN SAID CITY.
WHEREAS* the City Council of the City of El
Segundo, California has recently reviewed the matter of
the set back lines along the Southerly line of Imperial
Highway
established under Ordilances Nos. 180 and 234 of
said City, hereinafter referred to;
AND, WHEREAS, as a part of such review, said
Council did refer the question of the possible abandonment
of such set back lines along said Southerly line of said
Imperial Highway to the City Planning Commission of said
City for investigation, report and recommendation;
AND. WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission has
recommended to this Council that said set back line or
lines established in said Ordinances No. 180 and No. 234
be abandoned;
AND, WHEREAS, said Coumil, after due sonsidera-
tion, feels that the reasons which prompted the establish-
meat of said set back line or lines in the first instance
no longer exist;
' NOW, THEREFORE, the City Coumoil of the City CC
E1 Segundo, California, does ordain as follows:
�y SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 180 of said City,
entitled:

CALIFORNIA, FIXING AND ZSTABLISHING
CER<i'AIN SET BACK LINES ALONG CERTAIN
PORTIONS OF THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF
IWERIAL HIGHWAY WITHIN THE SAID CITY. It
Passed and adopted on the 14th day of October, 1931; and
Ordinance No. 234, entitled;
"SN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORNIA, FIXING AND ESTABLISHING A
CERTAIN S3T BACK LINE ALONG A PORTIOE
OF THE SOUTHERLY LIME OF IMPERIAL HIGH-
WAY WITHIN THE SAID CITY."
Passed and adopted on the 4th day of September, 1940,-
shall be and the same are, and each of them is, hereby
repealed, and that the set . back line or lines established
along the Southerly side of Imperial Highway, by said
Ordinances No. 180 and No. 234, shall be and the same
is hereby abandoned.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect
and be in full force and virtue thirty (30) days from and
after the date of the final passage and adoption thereof.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify
to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall
cause the same to be published by one insertion in the
E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circu-
lation, published and circulated within the said City
and hereby designated for that purpose.
