ORDINANCE 346ORDINANCE NO. 346 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ED SEGUNDO , CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 313 (THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE) OF SAID CITY BY ADDING TWO NEW SUBDIVISIONS TO BE DESIG- NATED AS (T) AND (U) RESPECTIVELY TO SECTION 1 OF ARTICLE XIV OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 313. The City Council of the City of El Segando, Cali- fornia, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of ,Article XIV of Ordinance No. 313, entitled: � "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY C(P' EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, MAKING CERTAIN PROVISIONS RE- LATING TO PUBLIC STREETS AND PUBLIC PLACES WITHIN SAID CITY; REGULATING TRAFFIC IN AND UPON SUCH PUBLIC STREETS AND PLACES; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. ", passed and adopted on the 25th day of June, A. D., 1947, as amended, shall be and the same is hereby amended by adding two new subdivisions, to be designated as Subdivisions 11(t)" and "(u), "to said Section 1 of said Article XIV of said Ordinance No. 313, which said new Subdivisions "(t)" and "(u)" shall read respectively as follows: "(t) For any period of time whatsoever on 118th Street, between Lapham Street and Aviation Boulevard;" and "(u) For any period of time whatsoever on 120th Street, between Lapham Street and Aviation Boulevard." SECTION 2. That said Ordinance No. 313, as amended, is hereby amended as hereinabove in Section 1 of this ordinance set forth. i" SECTION Z. That this ordinance is an emergency ordinance affecting the public peace, health and safety of the 1- City of El Segundo and the same shall therefore take effect and be in full force and virtue immediately upon the final passage and adoption thereof. The fasts constituting its urgency are that the recent parking of vehicles on and along the portions of the publio streets referred to in Subdivisions "(t)" and hereinabove added to Section 1 of Article XIV of said Ordinance No. 313, has recently taken place in such manner as to place lives and property in jeopardy; to unreasonably interfere with traffic in and upon said portions of said Public streets, and to endanger persons on private property adjacent thereto. This ordinance istherefore urgently needed in order to preserve and protect the public peace, health and safety. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and cir- culated within said City, and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
