ORDINANCE 308�i. ORDINANCE NO. 308 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A CURFEW FOR PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN YEARS, AND REPEAT, NG ORDINANCE NO. 13 OF SAID CITY AND ALL ORDINANCES AMENDATORY THEREOF. The City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. \\, Every person under the age of eighteen years who loiters about the public streets, avenues, alleys, parks, or public places between the hour of 10:00 o'clock p. m. and the time of sunrise of the following day, when not accompanied by his parent or legal guardian having legal custody and control of such person, or spouse of such person over twenty -one years of age, is guilty of a misdemeanor. SJWTION 2. Every parent, guardian, or other person having the legal care, custody, or control of any person under the age of eighteen years who allows or permits such person to violate any provision of this ordinance is guilty of a misdemeanor. SECTION 3. A violation of this ordinance, or of any provision thereof, shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $300.00, or by imprisonment in the County Jail of the County of Los Angeles, or in the City Jail of the City of El Segundo, as the committing magistrate may direct, for �a�15 not more than three months, or by both such fine and imprison- ment in the discretion of the court. Each day or portion thereof during which any of the provisions of this ordinance is violated, shall be a separate offense. l.. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall become effective at midnight on the thirtieth day from and after the date of the final passage and adoption thereof. SECTION 5. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof, to any person or oireumstanoe, is held to be unconstitutional, the remainder of this ordinance and the application of such provisions to other persons and circumstances, shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the official paper of said city, to -wit: the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general oiroulation, printed, published and circulated within said city, and which is hereby designated for that purpose. SECTION 7. That Ordinance No. 13 of the City of E1 Segundo, California, and all ordinances amending said Ordinance No. 13 are hereby repealed. Passed, approved and adopted this 19th day of March , A.
