OF SAID CITY, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA,
FIXING AND EST"LISHING FIRE ZONES IN AND
FOR SAID CITY, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN SO FAR AS THEY
CONFLICT THEREWITH. ", ADOPTED ON THE 17TH
DAY OF )[AY, A. D., 1939, BY AMENDING
SECTION 3 THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. gnat Section 3 of Ordinance No. 221 of
Lhe City of E1 Segundo, California, entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORNIA, FIXING AND ESTABLISHING FIRE
ZONES, IN AND FOR SAID CITY, AND REPEAL.
ING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES,
IN SO FAR AS THEY CONFLICT THEREWITH. ",
passed and adopted on the 17th day of May, 1939, as amended,
shall be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as
follows :
"SEOXION 3. Fire Zone No. 2 shall be known as
such and shall consist of all those two certain
portions of the City of El Segundo, California
(outside of Fire Zone No. 1, hereinabove described
In Section 2 of this ordinance), included within the
two following described exterior boundary lines, to -wit:
First Boundary Line:
Beginning s a point where the center line of
E1 Segundo Boulevard intersects the center line of
Concord Street; thence northerly along the center
line of Concord Street across intervening streets
and alleys to a point where the center line of Concord
Street intersects the center line of Grand Avenue;
thence easterly along the center line of Grand Avenue
to a point where the center line of Grand Avenue

northerly along the center line of aforesaid
alley, to a point where the center line of afore.

center line of Mariposa Avenue across intervening
streets, to a point where the center line of Mariposa
Avenue intersects the center line of the alley midway
between Main Street and Standard Street; thence
southerly along the center line of the aforesaid
alley to a point where the center line of aforesaid
alley intersects the center line of Pine Avenue;
thence easterly along the center line of Pine Avenue
across intersecting streets and alleys to a point
where the center line of Pine Avenue intersects the
center line of Eucalyptus Drive; thence southerly
along the center line of Eucalyptus Drive, across
Intervening streets to a point where the center line
of Eucalyptus Drive intersects the center line of the
first alley south of Grand Avenue; thence westerly
along the center line of aforesaid alley to a point
where the center line of aforesaid alley intersects
the center line of the alley midway between Eucalyptus
Drive and Standard Street; thence southerly along
the center line of aforesaid alley, across intervening
streets to a point where the center line of aforesaid
alley intersects the center line of El Segundo Boule-
vard; thence westerly along the center line of El
Segundo Boulevard across intervening streets and
alleys to the point of beginning.
Second Boundary Line:
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Lot 149
-block 95, as shown on E1 Segundo Sheet No. 3, recorded
in Book 20, pages 22 and 23 of Maps, records of Los
Angeles County, California, and on file as aforesaid,
said oorner being also that point where the northerly
line of said Lot 14 intersects the westerly line of
Main Street, as shown upon that Map of El Segundo
Sheet No. 3, recorded and on file as aforesaid; thence
southerly along the westerly line of Main Street to
the southeasterly corner of Lot 14, Blooic 95, recorded
and on file as aforesaid; thence westerly along the
southerly line of Block 95 to the southwesterly corner
of Lot S. Block 95, recorded and on file as aforesaid;
thence southerly along the easterly line of Virginia
Street and the projection of said easterly line of
Virginia Street across intervening alleys to the point
of intersection with the northerly line of Mariposa
Avenue, said point of intersection being the south-
westerly corner of Lot 12, Block 63 as shown on
E1 Segundo Sheet No. 3, recorded in Book 20, pages
22 and 23 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County,
California, and on file as aforesaid; thence easterly
along the said northerly line of Mariposa Avenue and
Lne projection of said northerly line of Mariposa
Avenue across intervening streets and alleys to a

of Lots 8, 7 and 6. Block 93 to the northwesterly
corner of Lot 6, Block 93, recorded and on file as
aforesaid; thence westerly in a straight line across
Eucalyptus Drive to the northeasterly corner of Lot
10, Block 94, recorded and on file as aforesaid; thence
westerly in a straight line to the point of beginning.'
SECTION 2. That said Ordinance No. 221, as amended,
is hereby amended as hereinabove in Section 1 of this ordi-
nanoe set forth, the effect of such amendmen6 being the
changing of said "First Boundary Line" and said "Second
boundary Line ", so that same shall read as hereinabove set
forth, and in all other respects the said Ordinance No. 221
shall be unaffected.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become
effeeUve at midnight on the thirtieth day from and after
the date of the final passage and adoption thereof.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this ordinance, and shall cause
the same to be published once in the El Segundo Herald, a
weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published
and circulated within the said City of El Segundo, and which
is hereby designated for that purpose.
