ORDINANCE 227C ORDINANCE NO. 227 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 221 OF SAID CITY, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FIXING AND ESTABLISHING FIRE ZONES, IN AND FOR SAID CITY, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES, IN SO FAR AS THEY CONFLICT ThIEREWIT H. ", ADOPTED ON THE 17TH DAY Or MAY, A. D., 1939, BY AMENDING THE DESCRIPTION OF THE "FIRST BOUNDARY LINE" SET FORTH IN SECTICN 3 THEREOF. The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That the description of the "First Boundary Line ", set forth in Section 3 of Ordinance N'o. 221 of the City of E1 Segundo, California, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SE GU ND O , CALIFORNIA, FIXING AND ESTABLISHING FIRE ZONES, IN AND FOR SAID CITY, ATTM REPEAL- ING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES, IN SO FAR AS THEY CONFLICT THEREWITH. ", passed and adopted on the 17th day of ?ay, 1939, shall be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: "First Boundary Line: "Beginning at a point where the westerly pro- longation of the northerly line of Lot 18, Block 44, intersects the center line of the alley midway between Richmond Street and Concord Street, as said Lot and Alley are shown upon Map of E1 Segundo, Sheet No. 30 Recorded in Book 20, pages 22 -23 of Maps, records of Los A ngeles County, California, and on file in the office of the County Recorder of said County; thence southerly along the center line of said alley as shown upon said map of E1 Segundo Sheet No. 3, and as shown upon a map of E1 Segundo, Sheet No. 1, recorded in Book 18, page 69 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, California, and on file as aforesaid, and the projec- tion of the center line of said alley across intervening streets and alleys to the point where the southerly prolongation of the center line of said alley intersects 1- L -1 51 2 the northerly line of Franklin Avenue as shown upon said last mentioned map of El Segundo; thence east- erly along the northerly line of said Franklin Avenue and its projection across intervening streets and alleys to the center line of the alley midway between Main and Standard Streets as shown upon said last mentioned map; thence northerly along the center line of said alley as shown upon said last mentioned map of E1 Segundo, and also on map of El Segundo Sheet No. 3, Book 20, pages 22 and 23 of Itilaps, recorded and on file as aforesaid, and the projection of the center line of said alley across intervening streets, alleys, and pri- vate property to the intersection with the easterly prolongation of the northerly line of Lot 21, Block 42, El Segundo Sheet No. 3, recorded and on file as afore- said; thence westerly along the northerly line of said Lot 21 to the northwesterly corner thereof; thence southwesterly in a straight line across Main Street to the northeasterly corner of Lot 27, Block 43, El Segundo Sheet No. 3, recorded and on file as aforesaid; thence westerly along the northerly line of said Lot 27 to the northwesterly corner thereof; thence northwesterly in a straight line across that certain alley extending northerly and southerly through said Block 43 to the northeasterly corner of Lot 19, Block 43, E1 Segundo Sheet No. 3, recorded and on file as aforesaid; thence westerly along the northerly line of said Lot 19 and along the northerly line of Lot 18, Block 44, El Segundo Sheet No. 3, recorded and on file as aforesaid, and along the westerly prolongation of said northerly lines across intervening streets and alleys to the point of beginning." SECTION 2. That said Ordinance No. 221 is hereby amended as hereinabove in Section 1 of this ordinance set forth, the effect of such amendment being the changing of said "First Boundary Line" only, so that same shall read as hereinabove set forth, and in all other respects the said Ordinance No. 221 shall be unaffected. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective at midnight on the thirtieth day from and after the date of the final passage and adoption thereof. 'ECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance, and shall cause the same to be published once in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated within the said City of El Segundo, and which is hereby designated for that purpose. 2..
