ORDINANCE NO. 218
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALI-
FORNIA, RE- NUMBERING THAT CERTAIN ORDINANCE
ADOPTED ON THE 1ST DAY OF MAY, 1935, ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALI-
FORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 156 OF SAID CITY,
ENTITLED, 'AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING THE ESTABLISHMENT OR
CARRYING ON WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF A CERTAIN
PORTION OF SAID CITY OF CERTAIN BUSINESSES, IN-
DUSTRIES, TRADES AND CALLINGS HEREIN DECLARED
AND DETERMINED TO BE NUISANCES, OBNOXIOUS AND
DANGEROUS TO HUMAN BEINGS', ADOPTED ON THE 1ST
DAY OF MARCH, A. D., 1929, BY ADDING A NEW
SECTION THERETO TO BE KNOWN AS 'SECTION 1 -A',
AND BY AMENDING 'SECTION 2' THEREOF ", WHICH SAID
ORDINANCE IS DESIGNATED AS ORDINANCE NO. 194, BY
ASSIGNING IT A NEW NUMBER, TO-SNIT: "ORDINANCE
NO. 194 -A ".
WHEREAS, it appears that there are two ordinances
among the original ordinances of the City of E1 Segundo,
bearing the number 194, to -wit:
An ordinance adopted on the 22nd day of August, 1934,
bearing said number, and an ordinance adopted on the lst day
of May, 1935, bearing a like number;
AND, WHEREAS, it appears that said discrepancy in
the numbering of said ordinances occurred through error;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That that certain ordinance adopted
on the lst day of May, 19350 entitled:

CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 156
OF SAID CITY, ENTITLED, IAN ORDINANCE OF
THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, PRO-
HIBITING THE ESTABLISHMENT OR CARRYING
ON WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF A CERTAIN
PORTION OF SAID CITY, OF CERTAIN BUSINESSES,
INDUSTRIES, TRADES AND CALLINGS HEREIN
DECLARED AND DETERMINED TO BE NUISANCES,
OBNOXIOUS AND DANGEROUS TO HUMAN BEINGS',
ADOPTED ON THE 1ST DAY OF MARCH, A. D., 1929,
BY ADDING A NEW SECTION THERETO TO BE KNOWN
AS 'SECT ION 1 -A1, AND BY AMENDING /SECTION 21
THEREOF."
be re- numbered, and that the number thereof, which is now
designated and shown as Ordinance No. 194, be and the same
is hereby amended, and changed so as to read "Ordinance
No. 194 -A ", and that said ordinance shall hereafter be known
and designated by the said number "Ordinance No. 194 -A ".
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause
the same to be published once in the E1 Segundo Herald, a
weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published
and circulated in the said City of E1 Segundo, and which is
hereby designated for that purpose.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect
and be in full force and virtue thirty days from and after
the date of the final passage and adoption thereof.

approved and signed by the Mayor of said City and attested
by the City Clerk of said City, all at a regular meeting of
