ORDINANCE N0. 205
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 155 OF
SAID CITY, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, CREATING A
CERTAIN RESIDENCE DISTRICT IN AND FOR SAID
CITY AND MAKING CERTAIN REGULATIONS WITH
REFERENCE TO THE KEEPING OF LIVESTOCK
THEREIN. ", PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED ON
THE 25TH DAY OF JANUARY, A. D., 1929, AS
AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 2 THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of El Segundo, California,
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 155 of
the City of E1 Segundo, California, entitled:
+ "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORNIA, CREATING A CERTAIN RESIDENCE
DISTRICT IN AND FOR SAID CITY AND MAKING
CERTAIN REGULATIONS WITH REFERENCE TO THE
KEEPING OF LIVESTOCK THEREIN. ",
passed, approved and adopted on the 25th day of January, A. D.,
19290 as amended, be and the same is hereby amended so as to
read as follows:
"SECTION 2. That it shall be unlawful for any
person, firm or corporation to keep, maintain, harbor
or sustain, within said residence district, in any
corral, barn, building, pen, fence or other structure
or enclosure, or in any other manner on any other portion
of any premises within said residence district, any
horse, mare, filly, male, pony, colt, bovine animal,
cow, bull, heifer or calf, within 150 feet of any house,
building or tent, or structure, occupied by human

beings; or at any place within said district, to keep,
maintain, harbor or sustain any swine or more than two
of any of the following animals, to- wit: horses, (the word
"horse" as used herein shall include any horse, mare, filly,
pony or colt), mules or bovine animals, (the words "bovine
animals" as used herein shall include any cow, bull, heifer
or calf ) in any corral, barn, building, pen, fence or
other structure or enclosure, or in any other manner in
or on any premises within said residence district."
SECTION 2. That said Ordinance No. 105 of said City
of E1 Segundo, be and the same is hereby amended as hereinabove
set forth in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this ordinance, and shall cause the same
to be published by one insertion in the E1 Segundo Herald, a
weekly newspaper of general circulation printed, published and
circulated within the said City of E1 Segundo, and which is
hereby designated for that purpose.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect
and be in full force and virtue thirty (30) days from and
after the date of the final passage and adoption thereof.
Passed, approved and adopted this 9th day of
December, A. D., 1936.
