ORDINANCE NO. 201•
AN ORDINANCE OF ME CITY OF EL SEGUND09
CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE AMOUNTS OF THE OFFICIAL
BONDS OF ME CITY CLERK AND OF THE CITY
TREASURER OF SAID CITY•
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requi remdants of
the laws of the State of California with reference thereto
(Section 853, Act 5233, General Laws of California, Deering
1931 Edition, as amended to date), the City Clerk and the
City Treasurer of the City of El Segundo, California, shall
respectively, bef are entering upon the duties of their re-
spective offices, each execute a bond in accordance with the
requirements of the provisions of the Political Code of the
i State of California relating to bonds of public officers.
The penal sum of such respective bonds shall be and the
same are hereby respectively fimed by said Council as
fol Iowa:
(1) The official bond of the City Clerk
shall be in the penal am or amount of $1,000#00.
(2) The official bond of the City Treasurer
shall be in the penal am or amount of $30',000.00,
which said a-um or amount said Council hereby finds
and determines is not less than one - fourth of the
amount of the general taxes levied for said City
in the year last expiring previous to the 14th day
of April, 1936.
SECTION 2• That each of the above mentioned bonds
shall be joint an& several in form and shall be signed by
the respective principals and by the corporate surety, which

said surety must be authorized as provided by law to transact
a general suzety bmainess in the State of California, and each
of said bonds must be conditioned as provided by law. Each
of the said bonds shall be subject to the approval of the
City Council as to sufficiency of the surety and as to pro,
d
visions, and by the City Attorney of said City as to form.
SECTION 3. That as provided by law, the bond of
the City Treasurer shall be filed with the City Clerk and
the bond of the City Clerk shall be filed with the Mayor of
said City.
SECTION 4. That all ordinances and parts of
ordinances, and all resolutions and parts of resolutions of
the City of E1 Segundo, California, in conflict herewith,
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this o idinance and shall cause
the same to be published once in the official paper of said
City, to-wit: the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper, of
general circulation, printed, published and circulated within
said City, and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
SECTION 6. That this ordinance shall take effect
and be in full f oroe and virtue on and of ter the 20th day of
April, A. D. , 1936.
