The City Council of the City of El Seganiss, California,doosordain as follows: SECTION 1. That the amount of money neossaary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property ih the said City of El Segundo, California, as a reven'40, to- carry on the various departments (including the Bl Segundo Pablio Library) of said municipal corporation for the current year, 1933 -1934, and to pay the bonded and other indebtedness of said City of El Segundo, California, is fixed at: For carrying on the various de- partments (including the Bl Segundo Public Library) , the sum of ................ $1089540.98 For paying the 'honded. Indebted- , ne s e, the sum of .......... 10,712-41 Total amount .... $119,253-39 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance, end shall cause the same to be published once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper printed, published and oiroulated in the t City of El Segundo, whioh in hereby designated for that purpose. 1- This o rdinanoe, being an ordinance re quire d under the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of Califo=ia, entitled, "An Act to Provide for the Levy and Collection of Taxes by and for the Use of Municipal Corporations and Cities Incorporated under the Laws of the State of California, except Municipal Cor- porations of the First Class, and to Provide for the Consolidation and Abolition of Certain Municipal Offices, and to Provide that their Duties may be Performed by Certain Officers of the County, and Fixing the Compen- f sation to be Allowed for such County Officers for the Services so Rendered to smh Municipal Corporations, approved March 27, 18959 as amended to date, to go into effect prior to the 29th day of August, 1933; and also being an ordinance for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of said city, in this, that it is urgently needed to make proper provision for municipal revenues without vhioh the city could not function, the same shall, therefore, take effect and be in full force immediately upon the passage and adoption thereof.
