ORDINANCE NO. 184
AN ORDINANCE OF ME CITY CF, EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFOIUTA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 12 OF
SAID CITY, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF
THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO LICENSING AM
REGULATING CERTAIN KINDS OF BUSINESS
TRANSACTED AND CARRIED ON IN SAID CITY
AND FIXING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF ",
�- PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE 14TH DAY OF MARCH,
1917, BY ADDING TWO DEW SECTIONS THERETO TO
BE KNOWN AS SECTIONS 34a AND 34b.
The City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, do ordain as follows:

SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 12 of the City
of E1 Segundo, California, entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE OF TIE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO
LICENSING AND REGULATING CERTAIN KINDS
OF BUSINESS TRANSACTED AMID CARRIED ON IN
SAID CITY AND FIXING A PENALTY FOR
VIOLATION THEREOF ",
passed, approved and adopted on the 14th day of March,1917,
as the same has been amended to date, be, and the same is
hereby amended by adding a new section thereto to be known
and designated as "Section 34a ", and which said new section
shall read as follows:
"SECTION 34a. For every person, firm or Cor-
.j poration engaged in, conducting or carrying on the
business of a shoemaker or shoe repairing, the sum
of $1. 50 per quarter."
SECTION 2. That said Ordinance No. 12 be, and
the same is hereby amended by adding a new section t1wreto

to be known and designated as "Section 34b ", and which
said new section shall read as follows:
- "SECTION 34b. For every person, firm or
corporation engaged in, conducting or carrying
on the business of a beauty parlor, the sum of
$1.50 per quarter."
SECTION 3. That said Ordinance No. 12, so
passed and adopted, as amended to date, is hereby amended
as hereinabo ve set forth.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify
to the passage and adoption of this ordinance, and shall
cause the same to be published once in the E1 Segundo
Herald, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circu-
lated within the said City of E1 Segundo, California, and
which is hereby designated for that purpose.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty
days from and after the final passage and adoption thereof.
Passed, approved and adopted this first day of
June, A. D., 1932.

I do hereby further certify that pursuant to
the provisions of Section 878 of Act 5233 of the General
Laws of the State of California, (Deering 1923 Edition),
as amended to date, that the foregoing ordinance No. 184
was duly and regularly published according to the law and
the order of the City Council of said city in the E1 Segundo
Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation printed,
published and circulated within the said city, and that
the same was so published therein on the following date,
to-wit: June 3rd, 1932 .
