ORDINANCE 177QRDIKANOE NO. 177, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY •AWW' NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON ME TAXABLE PFDPERTY THEREIN AS A R3VEN133 TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS (INCLUDING THE EL SEGUNDO PUBLIC LIBRARY), AND PAY THE BONDED IND$BTEDNESS OF SAID CITY FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, 19ML -1932. That the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property in the said City of El Segundo,. (fortify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance, and shall *&use the same to be published once in the 31 Segundo kerald,; a weekly newspaper printed,, published amd circulated in the City of E1 Segundo,; which is bareby designated for that purpose. 1- s S yy 4 F4 This o rdinamce, being an Ordinazwe required under the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California,, entitled, "An Act to Provide for the Levy and Collection of Taxes' by and for the Use of Municipal Co rpo rations and Oities Incorporated under the Laws of the State of California, except Municipal Corporations of the First Class, and to Provide for the Consolidation and Abolition of Certain Municipal Offices, and to Provide that their Duties may be Perform- ed by Certain Officers of the County, and Fixing the Compensation to be Allowed for such County Officers for the Services so Rendered to such Municipal Cor- porations, " approved March 27, 1895, as amended to date, to go into effect prior to the 25th day of August, 19S.; and also being an ordinw ee for the immediate preservation of the public pace, health and safety of said city, in this, that it is urgently needed to make proper provision for manicipai revenues without which the city could not funotion, the same shall, therefore, take effect and be in full force immediately upon the passage and adoption thereof.
