ORDINANCE 1754.11"7'7 ORDINANCE NO. 175 . AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, - CALIFORNIA, CHANGING THE NAME OF THAT CERTAIN PUBLIC STREET OR AVENUE WITHIN SAID CITY, NAMED AND KNNOVal AND COIMONLY DESIGNATED AS EL SEGUNDO AVENUE, TO EL SEGUNDO BOULEVARD, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREV,I TH. The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, Cali fo mia, do ordain as follows SECT ION 1. That the name of all of that certain public street or avenue within the said City of El Segundo, Cali fo mia, named and known as E1 Segundo. Avenue, from a line westerly of and parallel with the westerly line of Loma Vista Street and distant 128.73 feet measured at right angles therefrom, to the easterly boundary line of the City of E1 Segundo, as same was deeded to the public use for road and highway purposes b deeds recorded in Book 5620 y , page 311 of Deeds; Book 5670, page 48 of Deeds; Book 5633, page 261 of Deeds and Book 613, :page 315 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, California, and on file in the office of the County Recorder of said County; and dedicated to the public use for road and highway purposes on that map of E1 Segundo Sheet No. 1, recorded in Book 18, page 69 - - of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County and on file as aforesaid; and that map of C. C. Hunt's Subdivision, recorded in Book 36, page 36 of Miscellaneous Records, of said County, and on file as aforesaid-, and also deeded for public use as per easement for highway 1- purposes granted by the Pacific Electric Railway - Company, a corporation, and recorded in Book 6140, pages 20, 21 and 22 of Deeds, Records of said County and on file in the office of the County Recorder there- of as aforesaid.- be and the same is hereby changed to E1 Segundo Boulevard, and the said E1 Segundo Avenue shall be nand and hereafter known as, and is hereby so named E1 Segundo Boulevard. SECTION 2. That nothing in this ordinance contained shall in any manner be construed as in any way affecting any proceedings which may now be pending with reference to the opening, widening, extending or improving, in whole or in part, the street or avenue hereinabove referred to, but in each instamee such pending proceedings may be carried on to completion using the same name of such street or avenue as the same existed prior to the taking effect of this ordinance, and as the same is set forth at the present time in such pending proceedings. That for the purpose of this ordinance a pro- oeeding shall be deemed pending at all times after the_ adoption of the resolution or ordinance of intention - in the matter of such proceeding until fo rmal . abandonment thereof, or the final completion of such proceeding, and, of the work or impzuvement contemplated thereby. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and virtue thirty days from and after the final passage and adoption thereof. SECTION 4. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. 2- SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the official paper of said City, to -wit, the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated within said City, and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
