AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORNIA, FIXING AND ES TABLIS SING
FIRE ZONES, IN AND FOR SAID CITY, AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF
ORDINANCES, IN SO FAR AS THEY CONFLICT
THEREWITH.
The City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That those respective portions
of the City of El Segundo, California, included within
the respective limits hereinafter described and identi-
fied, shall be known as, and the same are hereby
designated, fixed and established to be "Fire Zone No. 1",
"Fire Zone No. 2 ", '!Fire Zone No. 30, "Fire Zone No. 40,
and "Fire Zone No. 5" respectively, of said City.
SECTION 2. Fire Zone No. 1 shall be known as
such and shall consist of all of that area included
within the exterior boundary lines of the parcel of
land foamed by Lots 9 and 10, Block 21, El Segundo Sheet
No.
1, recorded in
Book 18, page 69
of
Maps,
records of
Los
Angeles County,
California, and
on
file
in the
office of the County Recorder of said County.
SECTION 3. Fir6 Zone No. 2 shall be knows as
such and shall consist of all those two certain portions
of the City of El Segundo, California, included within
the two following described exterior boundary lines,
to-wit:

also that point where the northerly line of

Main Street as shown upon that Map of El Segundo
Sheet No. 3, recorded and on file as aforesaid;
thence southerly along the westerly line _of

14; Block 95, recorded and on file as aforesaid;
thence westerly along the southerly line of
Lots 14 and 13, in said Block 95; and Lot 6,
Tract 9802, recorded in Book 137, page 46 of
Maps, records of Los Angeles County, California,
acrd on file as aforesaid, to a point where said
southerly line of said lots intersect the north-
erly prolongation of the easterly line of
Richmond Street; tbonce southerly along the
northerly prolongation of the easterly line of
Richmond Street and along the easterly line of

easterly line of Richmond Street across inter -
vening alleys to the point of intersection with
the northerly line of Mariposa Avenue, as shown
on El Segundo Sheet No. 3, recorded in Book 20,

County, and on file as aforesald; thence easterly
along the northerly line of Mariposa Avenue and
the projection of said northerly line across
intervening streets and alleys to a point where
said northerly line intersects the westerly line
of that certain public alley lying easterly of
Standard Street and extending northerly through
Block 87, recorded and on file as aforesaid;
thence northerly along the westerly line of said
alley to a point where the projection of said
westerly line intersects the northerly line of
that certain public alley lying southerly of
Palm Avenue and eatbn&ing easterly and westerly
through Block 87, recorded and on file as afore-
said; thence easterly along the northerly line
f of that certain public alley lying southerly of
Palm Avenue and extending asterly and westerly
through Blocks 87 and 88 the projection of
sat d line across Eucalyptus) Drive to a point
Were said northerly line intersects the westerly
line of Arena Street, recorded and on file as
aforesaid; thence northerly along the westerly
line of Arena Street to the point where the
northerly projection of said westerly line inter-
sects the northerly line of Lot 8, Block 939

erly along the northerly line of Lots 8, 7 and 6,
Block 93 to the northwesterly comer of Lot 6,
Block 93, recorded and on file as aforesaid;

SECTION 4. Fire Zone No. 3 shall be known.
as such an & shall consist of all that certain portion
of the City of El Segundo, California, included within
the following described exterior boundary lines, to -wit:

Boundary line description; thence easterly
along the northerly line of Franklin Avenue and
its projection across intervening streets and
alleys, to the point of intersection with the
westerly line of the alley midway between Main
and Standard Streets as shown upon a map of El
Segundo, Sheet No. 1, recorded in Book 18, page
69 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County,
California, and on file in the office of the
County Recorder of said County, said point
being also the southeasterly corner of Lot 13,
Block 23; thence soutiierly along the westerly
line of said alley and its projection across
intervening streets to the northerly line of
El Segundo Avenue, as shown upon map last above
mentioned and recorded and on file as aforesaid;
thence westerly along the northerly line of El
Segundo Avenue and its projection across inter-
vening streets Emd alleys, to a point where the
said northerly line of E1 Segundo Avenue inter-
sects the westerly boundary line of the City of
El Segundo, California, as the same now exists,
as shown upon Map last above mentioned; thence
northerly sad westerly along the various courses
of the westerly boundary line of the City of
El Segundo, as the same now exists, to the
northwesterly comer of said City of El Segundo;
said corner being a so the N. W. corner of
N.E. 1/4 of N. W. 14 of N. W. 1%4 of Sec. 11,
T. 3 S. R. 15 W., reoor&ed in Book 21, page 98
of Maps, records of Los Ange3a:s County,,- and on
file as aforesaid; thence easterly alng the
northerly boundary line of the City of E1 Segundo,
as the some now exists, to a point where the said
northerly boundary line intersects the nor*erly
projections of the westerly line of Main Street
as shown upon that Map of El Segundo sheet No. 3,
and recorded in Book 20, pages 22 amd 23 of Maps,
Records of Los Angeles County, and on file as
aforesaid; thence southerly along tke westerly
line of Main Street and the projection of said
westerly line across intervening streets to the
southeasterly comer of Lot 14, Block 95,
recorded and on file as aforesaid; thence
westerly along the southerly line of Lots 14
and 13, in said Block 95; and Lot 6, Tract 9802,
recorded in Book 137, page 46 of Maps., records
of Los Angeles County, and on file as aforesaid,
to a point where said southerly line of said Lots

northerly along the westerly line of said alley
to a point where the projection of said westerly
line intersects the northerly line of mat certain
public alley lying southerly of Palm Avenue and
extending easterly and westerly throuuggh Block 87,

to a point where the northerly projection of said

of Lots .8, 7 and 6 Block 93, to the northwesterly
corner of Lot 6, Block 93, recorded and on file
as aforesaid; thence westerly in a straight
line across Eucalyptus Drive to the no rtheastert.y
corner of Lot 10 Block 94, recorded and on file

erly lines of Lots 10, 9, 89 7 end 6 to the
northeasterly comer af said Lot 6, Block 94,

northerly along the easterly line of Main Street
and the projection of said easterly line across
intervening streets to the point of intersection
of the northerly projection of said easterly
line of Main Street with the northerly boundary
line of the City of El Segundo, as the same now
exists, and recorded a2d on file as aforesaid;
thence easterly along the northerly boundary
line of the City of El Segundo, as the same now
exists, to the N. W. earner of N. E. 1/4 of
Section 12, Tomehip 3 South, Range 15 Wes$,
San Bernardino Base and Meridian, said corner
also being the point of intersection of the
center line of Center Street with the northerly
boundary line of the City of El Segundo, as the
said street is show upon that map of C. C. Hunt's
Subdivision, recorded in Book 36, page 36 of

along the center line of said alley to the point
of intersection with the easterly prolongation of

of said northerly line and along the said northerly

SECTION 5. Fire Zone No. 4 shall be known as
such and shall consist of all that certain portion of
the City of El Segundo, California, included within the

San Bernardino Base and Meridian, said corner
being also the point of intersection of the center
line of Center Street with the northerly boundary

recorded in Book 36, page 36, of Miscellaneous
Records, records of Los Angeles County, California,
and on file in the office of the County Recorder
of said County; thence easterly along the northerly

thence southerly along tAe various courses of the
easterly boundary line of the City of El Segundo,

now exists, a distance of 4400 feet to a point;

file as aforesaid; thence northerly in a straight
line to the southeasterly corner of Section 12,

aforesaid; thence northerly along the center line
of Center Street to the point of beginning.
SECTION 6. Fire Zone No. 5 shall be known as
such and shall consist of all that certain portion of
the City of El Segundo, California, C outside of Fire
Bones Nos. 1, 2, 3 ard 49 as the same are he reinab ove
described and identified.
SECTION 7. That all ordinances and parts of
ordinances of said City of El Segundo, California, in so
far as they conflict with the provisions of this ordinance,
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 8. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause
the same to be published once in the official paper of

said City, to-wit: The E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly
newspaper printed, published and circulated within
said City, and which is hereby designated for that

purpose,
SECTION 9. This ordinance shall take effect
and be in full force thirty days after the adoption
thereof.
