The City Counoil of the City of El Segmndo, California, do ordain as follows : - SECTION 1. In addition to the performame of their regular stud ordinary duties, it shall be the duty of all of the o ff ialals of the Citylo f El Segundo, California, and of all poli oemen, firemen and other employees of said City, at all times and under all oiroumstanoes to go to the aid of all persons and animals in distress or danger, and render them suoh help and assistsaos as lies within the poorer of suoh o ff Ioials, polioemen, firemen and /or employees. SECTION E. In ease any offioial, policeman, fireman or other employee of said City, should be injured while rendering suoh additional servioss as aforementioned, he or she, as the oase may be, shall be deemed to be injured in the oourse of his or her employ - ment and shall be entitled to workmens' oompensation therefor, as provided by law. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall oertify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall osuse the some to be published onoe in the offioial paper of said City,,. to- wit: She El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper published and oiroulated within said City, sad which is hereby designated for that purpose. I- This orUneaoe shall take effect and be in fall force and virtue thirty days from and after the final passage and adoption thereof. Passed, approved ai3d adopted this 17th day of September, A.
