ORDINANCE NO. 171 ,
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORRIA, FIZING TEE AMOUNT OF MONEY
NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON
THE TAXABLE PROPE =RTY THEREIN AS A REVENUE
TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS AND
PAY THE BONDED INIEB'PED1vES3 OF SAID CITY
FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, 1930 -1931.
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, do ordain as follow:
SECTION 1. That the amount of money necessary
to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property in
the said City of Ei Segando, Cali :b mia, as a revenue to
carry on the various departments of said m niaipal
corporation for the current year, 1930 -1931, and to pay
the bonded and other indebtedness of said City of El
Segundo, California, is fixed at:
For aaarrying on the various
departments, the sum of ... 91,210.00
For paying the bonded indebted -
nose, the sum Of .......... 36, 609.07
Tom amount $127,819.07
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this ordinance, and shall cause the same to
be published onoe in The El Segundo Herald, a weekly
newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City
of El Segundo, v&ioh is hereby designated for that purpoee.
This ordinance, being an ordinance required
under the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the
State of California, entitled, "An Act to Pro-lida for the

Levy and Collection of Taxes by and for the Use of
Municipal Corporations and Cities Incorporated M2der
the Laws of the State of California, except Municipal
Corporations of the First Class, and to Provide for
the Consolidation and Abolition of Certain Municipal
Offioes, and to Provide that their Duties may be
Performed by Certain Officers of the County, and
Fixing the Compensation to be allowed for such County
Officers for the services so Rendered to Such Municipal
Corporations," approved March 27, 19259 as amended to
date, to go into effect prior to the 26th day of
August, 1950; therefore, the same shall take effect
and be in fall force and virtue immediately after the
final passage and adoption thereof.
Passed, approved and adopted this 13th day
of August, A. D., 1930.
