- -- AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORNIA, CHANGING TEM NAME OF TEAT
CERTAIN PUBLIC STREET OR AVENUE WI MIN
SAID CITY NAI:D AND KNOWN AND COMMONLY
31ESIGNATED AS COLLINGWOOD AVENUE TO
IM RIAL HIGHWAY.
The City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, do ordain as follows:
330TION 1. That the name of all of that certain
public street or avenue within the said City of El Segundo,
California, named and knowm as Collingwood Avenue, between
the easterly boundary line of the City of El Segundo, as
the same now exists, and the westerly boundary line of the
westerly line of Section 11, Township 3 South, Range 15
West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, as the said street
or avenue is shown upon that certain Deed Map reoarded in
Book 3641, pages 290 and 291 of Deeds, and upon that map of
the property of S. D. Wise, recorded in Book 70, page 97 of
Miscellaneous Records, Records of Los Angeles County, Cali-
fornia, on file in the office of the County Recorder of
said county,- be and the some is hereby changed to Imperial
Highway, and the said Collingwo od Avenue shall hereafter be
named and known as, and is hereby so named Imperial Highway.
SECTION 2. That nothing in this ordinance
contained shall in any manner be construed as in any way
affeoting any proceedings which may now be pending with
reference to the opening, widening, extending or improving
in whole or in part of the street or avenue hereinabove
referred to, but in such instance such pending proceedings
may be carried on to completion using the same name of
such street or avenue, as the same existed prior to the

taking effect of this ordinance, and as the same is not
forth at the present time in each pending proceedings.
That for the purpose of this ordinance a proceed-
ing shall be deemed pending at all times after the adoption
of the resolution or ordinance of intention in the manner
of such proceeding until formal abandonment thereof, or
the final oom p lotion , of such proceedings, and of the work
or improvement contemplated thereby„
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take affect
and. be in Tall force and virtue thirty days from and after
the final passage and adoption thereof.
SECTION 4. That all ordinances and parts of
ordinances in oonfliot herewith are hereby repealbd.
SEOTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify
to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall
cause the same to be published once in the official paper
of said city, to -wit, The El Segundo Herald, a weekly
newspaper printed, published and circulated within said
city; and whioh is hereby designated for that purpose.
