ORDINANCE 164C ORDINANCI NO. 164 . AN ORDINANCE OF TEE CITY OF EL SEGUTNDO, CALIFOMIA, AMNDING ORDINANCB NO. 134 OF SAID CITY, ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO$ CALIFORNIA, REGULATING TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS, AVENUES, ALLEYS AND THOROUGHFARES WITHIN SAID CITY, AID REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INC ONS IS TEN T THEREWITH," PASSED AND ADOPTED ON TEE 17TH DAY OF JUNE, 1927, AS AMENISD, BY A30ND ING SECTION 32 THEREOF. The City Council (Board of Trustees) of the City of El Segundo, California, do . ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 32 of Ordinance No. 184 of the City of B1 Segmn do, Cali Sb rnia, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGU'NDO, CALIFORNIA, RBGULATING TRAFFIC UPON THE PUffiIC STRUTS, AVENUES ALLEYS AND THOROUGHPARES WITHIN SAID CITY, AND REPEALING ALL CEDINANC$S INCONSISTENT THEREWITH", passed and adopted on the 17th bay of June, A. D., 19279 as amended, shall be and the same is hereby amended, so- as to read as follow: "SECTION 32. Parking Time Limited in Specified Places. (A) The operator of a vehicle shall not park such vehicle for longer than : (a) Two hours on Richmond Street between E1 Segundo Avenue and Grand Avenue within the said city; (b) A period of five minutes on the northerly side of E1 Segundo Avenue, between Richmond Street and Concord Street within said city; 1- C (c) For a longer period than five minutes ' on the south side of El Segundo Avenue from the center line of Virginia Street to the center line of Lomita Street; ( d) Two hours on Grand Avenue between the easterly line of Concord Street and the westerly line of Main Street, within said city; (e) Two hours on Concord Street between Franklin Avenue and El Segundo Avenue within said city; (f) Two hours an Virginia Street between Franklin Avenue sad El Segundo Avenue within said oity; (g) Two hours on the north side of El Segundo Avenue between Concord Street and Virginia Street within said city. (B) The opa rator of a 'vehicle shall not park suoh vehicle: (a) For any time or period of tim0 whatsoever on Franklin Avenue between Richmond Street and a line drawn across Franklin Avenue, at right angles to the northerly street line of Franklin Avenue, five feet westerly of the first alley westerly of Richmond Street within said city; (b) For any time or period of time whatsoever within fifteen feet of the point of intersection of the nearest line of the nearest intersecting street or alley and the line formed by the as rb along which such vehicle is so parked, provided however, that such point of intersection shall be indicated by a verti*4 red line at least two inches wide painted on the curb; 2" IA5 U103 (c) Por any time or period of time whatsoever unless such vehicle is parked on the right -hand side of the street in the direction in which said vehicle was progressing at the time the same was parked; (d) For any time or period of time whatsoever on the westerly and southwesterly side of that oer- tain public street within said city, named and known as the "Coast Boulevard" between its intersection with the southerly city limits and its intersection - - - -_ with the southerly line of Section 11, Township 4, South, Range lb B., S. B. B. & M.; (e) For any time or period of time whatsoever within fifteen feet of any fire hydrant within said city, provided that such point fifteen feet on each side of such fire hydrant shall be indicated by a vertical red line at least two inches wide painted on the curb; (f) For 9M time or period of time whatsoever opposite the entrance to or exit from any theater, motion picture house or public assembly hall within said city, during the presentation of any play, motion picture, opera, entertainment, lecture, debate or other foam of entertainment, or while persons are congregated for any purpose in or about such theater, motion picture house or hall; (g) For any time or period of time whatsoever at any curb within twenty five (25) feet of a point on the curb opposite the center of the entrance to any hospital; C1r For any time or period of time whatsoever at any curb within fifty (50) feet Of a point on the curb opposite the center of the entrance to any Rollo_e station; 3- (i) For any time or period of time whatsoever in any marked bas stop: The stops shall be designated by appropriate signs at those places determined by the City Council (Board of Trustees), except that a bus stop shall not exceed fifty (50) feet in length and shall not be placed adjacent to a safety zone at a street car stop. Signs shall be erected and maintained not more than 150 feet apart in each block designating the provisions of this section." SECTION E. That said Ordinance No. 134, as asbnded, is hereby amended accordingly. SECTION S. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the ease to be published once in The El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated within the said City of El Segundo, and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
