ORDINANCE 109• ORDIM.CE N0. 109 . AN ORD MAN CE OF THE CITY OF El SEGUNDO , M1IFORNIA , FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PRDPERTY THEREIN AS A REVENUE ' - TO CARRY ON TIi- VARIOUS MPARTMENTS AND PAY THE BONDED INIiEBTMUESS OF SAID CITY F CR THE CURREUT YFAR , 1924-1925. The Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property in the said City of E1 Segundo, California; as a revenue t o carry on the various departments of said municipal corporation for the current year, 192:4 -1925, and to pay the bonded amid other indebtedness of said City. of E1 Segundo, California, is fixed at: For carrying on the various depart- ments, the sum of . 77,366.00 For paying the bonded indebtedness, t he aum of 18, 665.00 T of al amount . 96,031.00 . SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordiYarve and shall cause the same to be published once in The El Segundo Herald., a weekly news- paper printed, published and circulated in the City of El Segundo, which is hereby designated for that purpose; and shall cause a printed copy of the same to be conspicuously posted in each of the three following public places in said City of El Segundo, to -wit: one such copy thereof on the bulletin board at the United States Post Office in said City; one such copy thereof on the bulletin board .at the main entrance gate of the oil refinery of the Standard 011 1- Company of California, on E1 Segundo Avenue; and one such copy on the official bulletin board at the City Hall in sa id City. This ordinance, being an ordinance required under the provisions of an act of the Legislature of the State of Dalifomia entitled, "An Act to provide for the leY7 and collection of taxes by ani for the use of mmni- cipal corporations and cities incorporated under the laws of the State of California, except municipal corporations of the first class, and to provide for the consolidation and abolition of certain municipal offices, and to provide that their duties may be performed by certain officers of the county, and fixing the compensation to be allowed for such county officers for the services as rendered to such municipal corporations"; approved March 27, 1896 as amend- ed to date, to go into effect prior to the 26th day of August, 1924, therefore the same shall take effect and be in fall force end virtue immediately after the final passage aid adoption thereof.
