THEREOF.
The Board of Trustees of the City of El Segundo
do ordain as follows:
Section 1. That ordinance No. 31 of the City of
El Segundo, passed and adopted on the 20th day of February,
1913 entitled:
"An Ordinance of the City of El Segundo,
California regulating the construction,
alteration, repairing, demolishing and
I maintaining of buildings and other
structures within said City, providing
for the condemnation of buildings and
other structures dangerous to property,
life and limb and fixing and determining
fire limits in and for said City,"
be, and the same is hereby amended by eliminating therefrom
Section 7 which reads as follows, to -wit:
"Section 7. Fees for Permits. The
applicant or applicants for such building
permit shall, at the time of filing
application pay to the Building Inspector,
for expenses, inspection and examination of
the building and plans and specifications,
the sum of One dollar (41.00) if the cost
of said building, structure, alteration or
i,,iprovement does not exceed Five hundred
dollars (500.00) and twenty cents (201)
additional for every One hundred dollars
., ($100.00) or fraction thereof in excess
of Five hundred dollars (:500.00)."
and said Section 7 reading as aforesaid, is hereby repealed
and rescinded.
Section 2. Nothing in this ordinance contained shall
be construed as in any way constituting or being a repeal of
any other section or part of said ordinance; the purpose
hereof being simply to repeal the provisions of said Section
7 only.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published
by one insertion in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper
of general circulation Drinted, published and circulated
within said City of E1 Segundo and which is hereby designated
for that purpose.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after the
final Daseage and adoption thereof.
Passed and adopted this 0111day of May, A. D. 1920.
