That a Special Municipal Election is hereby called and ordered to be held in the City of El Segundo, State of California, on Tuesdoy, the second day of September, 1919, and that at said election there shall be submitted to the qualified electors of said city, the question whether or not certain new, uninhabited territory hereinafter described, shall be annexed to and incorporated in, and made a part of the said city. Section 2. The City Clerk of said City is hereby ordered to give notice of said special election by the publication of a notice thereof in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circu- lation, printed, published and circulated within said City of E1 Segundo, and hereby designated for that puroose, for at least once a week for a period of tro weeks next preceding the date of such election, which notice, and all portions thereof as hereinafter contained, for all intents and purposes, shall be and constitute a component part of this Ordinance. The said election shall be had and the acts therein required shall be performed as in said notice provided. That it is proposed to incorporate the said territory sought to be annexed, as a part of said municipality, and the said new uninhabited territory proposed to be annexed to the said City of El Segundo, is situated in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, and is more particularly bounded and described as follows: All of Lot One (1) of Tract ido. 3303 as per map recorded in Book 36, page 14 of Ylaps, Records of Los -ingeles county, California, on file in the office of the County Recorder of said County, more particularly bounded and described as followc-: Beginning at the Southeast (SE) corner of Lot 2 of Tract No. 1314 as per 1v4ap recorded in Book 20, page 161 of Maps, records of Los an-elee County, California, on file in ti'le office of the County Recorder of said Oounty; thence westerly along the southerly line of said Lot 2, the same being -3- a portion of the present southerly boundary of the City of E1 Segundo, a distance of Seventeen hundred seventgz four and fifty six one hundredths (1774.56) feet to a point; thence south twenty - two degrees (220) eleven minutes (111) east a distance of Three thousand, three hundred and seventy three and thirty -one one hundredths (3373.31) to a point in the northerly line of Rosecrans Avenue as shown ujon said map of Tract No. 3303; thence north eighty -nine degrees (890) forty -seven minutes (471) east, along said northerly line of Resecrans avenue, a distance of five hundred feet to the southwest corner of Lot 3 of said Tract No. 1314; thence north no degrees (00) one minute (11) east along the westerly line of said lot 3, the same being a portion of the present westerly boundary of the City of E1 Segundo, a distance of Three thousand one hundred and twenty -one and seventy -three one - hundredths (312103) feet to the point of beginning* That said new uninhabited territory is hereby designated 158 feet 'First Annexation Territory' and said Territory shall be referred to and indicated upon the ballots to be used at said special election as said 'First Annexation Territory'. That upon the ballots to be used at said special election, and in addition to the other matters required by lave to appear thereon, there shall be printed the folloi,:ing words: 'Shall First Annexation Territory, being that certain territory situated in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows, to -wit: All of Lot 1, of Tract No. 3303, as per map recorded in Book 36, Page 14, of Maps, records of said Los Angeles County, Cal- ifornia, on file in the office of the County Recorder of said County, be annexed to and incorporated in the City of E1 Segundo, California.' And there shall be a voting square to the right of and opposite the words "For Annexation ", and a voting square to the right of and opposite to the words, "Against Annexation ". That the qualified electors of said city are hereby invited and directed to vote at said election upon the question of the annexation of said Territory to said city, by stamping a cross (X) in the voting square after the printed words "For Annexation ", or by stamping a cross (X) in the voting square after the printed -4- 15 ay words "Against Annexation ". If an elector shall stamp a cross (V in the voting square after the printed words "For Annexation ", the vote of such elector shall be counted in favor of the annexation of said 2irst Annexation Territory to the City of E1 Segundo, and if an elector shall stamp a cross W in the voting square after the printed words "Against annexation ", the vote of such elector shall be counted against said annexation. That for the purpose of holding such special municipal election there shall be one election orecinct within said city con - sisting of a consolidation of the two regular election precincts, and said special election precinct shall be known as "Special Municipal Election -Oreci act, 1 .0 . 1", tale exte cior. o ` which shall be the exterior boundaries of the City of E1 Segundo as the same now exist. The polling place for said special municipal election shall be in the council Chamber of the �;ity Hall of the City of El Segundo, at the northwest corner of Franklin z1venue and Richmond Street in the said city. ^he officers to conduct said special election at said special municiDa.l election precinct 1, are hereby named and designated as follows: For Insoectors: IV-Irs. The City Clerk is hereb_- directed to secure all supplies that may be necessary to pro -perly and lawfully conduct such special election. Sample Ballots containing the matter required by lair to appear thereon shall be supplied to the electors of said city by the said City Clerk as required by law, but a failure on the part of any elector to receive such sample ballot shall not be held to invalidate the election, or affect in any manner the legality thereof. Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify tt the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the El Segundo Herald, a Weekly i.m: paper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said City of El Segundo and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
