CC RESOLUTION 4751RESOLUTION NO. 4751 A RESOLUTION PLACING THREE CITY COUNCIL, CITY CLERK, AND CITY TREASURER SEATS ON THE PREVIOUSLY CALLED APRIL 10, 2012 GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION PURSUANT TO ELECTIONS CODE § 1301. The City Council of the city of El Segundo resolves as follows: SECTION 1: Pursuant to Elections Code § 1301, the City Council previously called for a general municipal election to be held in the City of El Segundo on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 for the purpose deciding a local initiative. By this Resolution, the City Council also adds to that election the question of electing three members of the City Council to four year terms; one City Clerk for a four year term; and one City Treasurer for a four year term. The exact form of the questions to be voted on at the election as they should appear on the ballot are as follows: "FOR MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL — Vote for three" "FOR CITY CLERK — Vote for one" "FOR CITY TREASURER — Vote for one" SECTION 2: The polls will open at 7 a.m. on election day and remain open until 8 p.m. SECTION 3: The City Council Chamber, 350 Main Street, El Segundo, is designated the Central Counting Place where all ballots of the election will be tallied. SECTION 4: The City Clerk is authorized to canvass the returns of the Municipal Election. The election will be held in all respects as if there were only one election, and only one form of ballot will be used. SECTION 5: The City Clerk is authorized, instructed and directed to procure and furnish any and all official ballots, notices, printed matter and all supplies, equipment and paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to properly and lawfully conduct the election. SECTION 6: This Resolution will become effective immediately upon adoption. -1- PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1 st day of November, 2011.
