CC RESOLUTION 4360RESOLUTION NO. 4360 A RESOLUTION FIXING THE EMPLOYER'S CONTRIBUTION UNDER THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' MEDICAL AND HOSPITAL CARE ACT FOR THE EL SEGUNDO SUPERVISORY AND PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of El Segundo as follows: SECTION 1: The City Council finds as follows: A. Government Code Section 22825.6 provides that a local agency contracting under the Public Employees' Medical and Hospital Care Act must fix the amount of the employer's contribution at an amount not less than the amount required under Section 22825 of the Act, and B. Government Code Section 22857 provides that a contracting agency may fix the amount of the employers contribution for employees and the employer's contribution for annuitants at different amounts provided that the monthly contribution for annuitants be annually increased by an amount not less than 5 percent of the monthly contribution for employees, until such time as the amounts are equal; and C. The City of El Segundo ( "employer ") is a local agency contracting under the Act for participation by members of the El Segundo Supervisory and Professional Employees' Association. SECTION 2: The employer's contribution for each employee is the amount necessary to pay the full cost of his /her enrollment, including the enrollment of his /her family members in a health benefits plan up to a maximum of $806.83 per month, effective January 1, 2004. SECTION 3: The employer's contribution for each annuitant is the amount necessary to pay the full cost of his /her enrollment, including the enrollment of his /her family members in a health benefits plan up to a maximum of $806.83 per month, effective January 1, 2004. SECTION 4: The City Clerk is directed to certify the passage and adoption of this Resolution; enter same in the book of original Resolutions; and make a Minute of its adoption in the City's records and in the Minutes of the meeting when it was adopted. SECTION 5: This Resolution will become effective immediately upon adoption and will remain effective unless repealed or superseded. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 201h day of January 2004.
